That would explain a few things Skeeve, although almost every tourist was taking pics. I have an inkling that my hat and the fact I was using a 'proper' looking camera might not have helped...
@ Ainu - I'm no professional. Wouldn't say no if someone offered me a job mind! Photography is something that has been ever present in my life since about the age of six when my old man took it up as a hobby. Since then he's always had a darkroom with several enlargers and all the proper gear. He bought me an SLR when I was about 13 and taught me how to use it, passing down his lenses, filters etc when he upgraded them. He's never been a 'professional', but he judges competitions, lectures and is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, as well as being a Gold Excellence of the International Federation Of Photographic Art. I keep trying to get him to set a website up: his stuff is stunning, I shit you not! I'll try and get some off him to post here in the mean time....
