1500p VC vs. Dwarves?

Hi Everybody,

I\'ve been working on a 1500 p VC list, that is to face dwarves. I haven\'t much experience with VC, and need some advise...

STRATEGY:
The idea is to stick the thrall in a unit of skellies that is to back the charge of the grave guards. The other block of skellies and spirit hosts hold one flank, backed by the banshee, while the wolves wil race forward on the other flank, hoping to get behind the battleline for rear and flank charges. The necromancers will hide in the two small units of braindeads, and use their spells to enhance the skellies and grave guards.

Comments are more than welcome.

Tough call, as your primary goody (fear) will be next to useless against LD values of 9/10... Let\'s see...

solid choice, one of the finest items around

While the Black Periapt might give you the opportunity to convert one of your dispel dice into a power die, a canny dwarf player will see to it that he hits you with a master rune of balance (you lose one power, he gains one dispel)... and you\'ll be hard pressed to turn the periapt to proper use... I\'d just go with another dispel scroll or a power stone for the one spell you have to get through... just mho, though

Unless you plan on padding these units via Nehek\'s, I\'d recommend putting them together, as Zombies crumble faster than something that crumbles fast...

Nice for hunting down those pesky warmachines, but might lack the punch to actually do the deed... go ahead and try it

I really don\'t know about these... they are likely to crumble via CR, as they don\'t dish out enough damage vs. dwarfs, and a dwarven warmachine with runic/magic hits will melt them away... maybe ditch the ethereal ones and get a black coach instead?

Sounds ok, basically. Just try to hit \'em hard and avoid their front if at all possible... or else they\'ll mop the floor with most of your units. Just give it a shot, and - as they say - live and learn. Cheers!

I would drop the banshee. With the dwarves high leadership it will be wasted. Get some bats to get to the warmachines. Also drop the doom wolf. Its a waste of points as tha unit will be shot to pieces before it sees combat (thats OK tho cause at least he wont be shooting your bats or skellies) In face drop the unit all together and get more bats.

Thats just my opinion tho.

With the new armylist now, the situation is much different.

You may wanna consider having a good core of ghouls backed up by a 7minis ranks of zombies (they cost nothing and are very goot to stop), corpse cart of course and a black coatch now, that sucks power dice, isn\'t a bad choice, but be carefull with those cannons.
Might wanna consider fell bats or a varghulf that always marches (being a vamp) and charges at 18\".
