1hr 55min, that was my time for the great north run today. I feel I let myself down a bit, I was out on the drink last night and only had about 4hrs sleep. And it was a disgustingly hot day, I\'m not used to that. Oh well, I\'ll be fully prepared next time. Next stop - London marathon.

Thanks. It was 20km (and it really was hot. I just saw on the news that 4 people died this year. That\'s out of 50,000, but it\'s still a lot more than usual).

well done - great time, considering the volume of people there; did a 1/2 marathon myself once a long time ago so I know what it\'s like

mind you, drinking and lack of sleep? I wonder if that\'s what Paula Mathews was up to in Athens? :)

Why why why did I do that! She\'s from this town - they even named a road after her! ???

do you think anyone else noticed?

I am a total junky sometimes. To be fair I didn\'t get drunk, and turned in early. The lack of sleep was due to my rampant insomnia, and would have been ok if not for the running conditions. I should have used sunscreen - my face is rather burned this morning and suprisingly so are the backs of my elbows (must be due to the running action I think).

1hr 33 today! I don\'t think I can really improve on this as I didn\'t have any of the screw ups that let me down last time.

I\'ve smoked maybe a hundred menthol cigarettes since Christmas, which is less than last year, but this year me and my friends are going to do some more weights training so I\'ll have less time for running and less of a runner\'s physique, I doubt I\'ll improve the time at all.

The medals weren\'t as impressive because it wasn\'t an anniversary year. All in all very good though. I didn\'t do the London marathon but I\'m still aiming for that in April.

Thanks guys. Just heard on the news that one person died this year, which is way better than last year (it was a lot cooler and it rained too). I doubt I\'ll be doing this in 15 years Orb, I\'m thinking of taking up swimming or something, I don\'t want my knees to crumble. hubbabubba, the record for this course is 59 minutes. This year\'s winner took 61 minutes, the top woman got 70 minutes.
