Just wanted to update everybody on the progress of our first(of many, I hope) \'Round-Robin\' miniature.

Duende(Michelle)in Pa. mailed a Reaper miniature that she\'d primed, to me, Nailpainter2003(Faye) in Ohio. I received this figure late Saturday, painted my portion, packed her up again and sent her on to the next leg of her journey. As of this morning, she\'s headed to supervike in Iowa!.....Heads up, Jim!;)

We\'ll keep you all posted on the progress throughout....and I\'ve attached a photo as she appears prior to mailing her to supervike...Great fun, so far!:flip::bouncy:

I have to follow THAT?

Gosh, I feel like the act that had to go on Ed Sullivan after the Beatles....

Maybe I\'ll just make sure the mold lines are gone.....I don\'t know if I want to ruin anything that damn pretty!:~(

Damn nice job Faye! Seems a shame to put that in Supervike\'s hands... lollollol
I hope you dull coated the face first, just in case. (just kidding Jim, take it easy big guy...)

This is a really cool idea. I apparently missed the thread on this. I\'d love to get involved with the next one!

Cheers,
Grumb

Supervike, I forgot to tell you.....

....I sent the figure over to you via Priority Mail and you should have her in 2-3 days!:D
I trust you completely and all others willing to share in this fun activity!!
ipaintminis: I also love sculpting bases, but I\'ll admit, painting skin&faces is absolute favorite.
Grumbold Ironbrow: We have a 2nd Round Robin about to start(originating in Fla) and I\'m certain you\'d be welcome to join in.

Thank you all for the compliments...they are most appreciated.
Faye
P.S.What\'s to happen to the finished product?

To those that feel they can\'t live up to the standard set.

Do not feel intimidated. I think the best part of this (other than just to have some fun) is that we all get to see other peoples work first hand. Hopefully this will help all of us learn and improve. No hiding mistakes with camera jiggery pokery. I\'m hoping everyone will help each other out with suggestions on how they can improve their work and with explainations on how the different areas were painted.

So no ducking out because you feel you aren\'t up to it in some way!

I agree w/Trevor

This will definitely be a learning adventure and give the opportunity for a birds eye view. I have always, willingly shared whatever knowledge or talent I may possess with anyone who asks. ...Which reminds me, I am sculpting my own line of fairies and I wrote to two different ebayer\'s: emilysfairies and kddollart with my compliments of their work and questions regarding techniques and materials used. Neither of these ladies responded! For the life of me, I do not understand the secrecy and witholding knowledge. It\'s plain selfish :flame: and not like I won\'t figure it out in the end anyway! lol:moon:lol

I don\'t get it. Yours is already on the way to the third person and ours hasn\'t even reached the second painter. Bloody european post offices must be against us.
Or wait....one of you doesn\'t possibly have any Mafia connections?

But still, pretty face you have there. Nice make-up.

Ooo, that sounds like fun. But I would be afraid to touch it with my unworthy hands.:(

Nice work on the face, Faye!

This kinda thing could be something I\'d be interested in... if anybody\'s willing to either start another one with me or add me in to one that\'s currently circulating, PM me details.

update!!

I recieved the mini in the mail today. I usually come home for lunch, and there she was waiting for me!

I have to say that the photos do not do her justice. That face is very beautiful Faye!

I\'ll get started on her as soon as I finish all my forgeworld stuff, two armies, and a few other major projects.........

ok ok, I\'ll bump her up in priority! Hopefully I\'ll be sending her off to DennisMech before the weekend!lol

Come on airhead you have had training now no excuses. Why don\'t you kick in? The names are still being added to the list and soon another mini will start, We can all find a part that suits us:)

OK, find something worthy of the bottom half of this assembly to paint.

Glue on static grass?
Wash the chainmail?

The hard part has been done. Thanks Faye. ;)

Count me in.
