Well its been two years since the dreaded day my wife got breast cancer. Thats when I started painting again to pass the nights away while she was asleep from all the treatment.
Got the all clear again. Its a bastard all the waiting. Its like a dark shadow looking over your shoulder waiting.
Well chin up, alls good now (touch wood)
Lets see how I do at GD this year. Might pop in the bar to see you all.

cheers

Lee; Totally understand mate.
Shitty disease, buggers up life a lot. Glad to hear she's doing OK.
Fran's just passed Five Years since she was diagnosed, April before she ends some of the medication.

Very happy for you both. I'm sure that is a very heavy weight off your shoulders.

Prayers for you and your doctors.

All I got to say is, "Fight Like a Girl." That says it all. And I hope you don't take it as me joking, but over here we have a lot of shirts that have that slogan, to raise funds for Breast Cancer research. And the way I see it is that it is a good way to raise awareness. Good luck, that's a terrible, frightening disease, and with any luck it will be beaten in the future.

Thanks for all your kind comments.

Mike - Great news, It seems to go slow at the time, each day hard to function but then when you look back the time has gone so quick!?!

I found and learned a lot in the last 2 years. I think I found faith or at least it found me. I found the importance of enjoying important times with friends, family and different events in my life. I lost a lot of my selfish ways and now I feel a lot wiser and look and see things different than before. I think of it all I've learned to be a much more patient person and I'm a lot calmer now. That all said the real hero is my wife who went though shit and back you would not believe. My god its hard to understand how the things that make you better make you so ill?

Well we got there in the end, at least I found painting again and my wife has started college to become a hair dresser (something she always wanted to do!) :)
