Just been trawling through the back log oof e-mail I have with the various groups I belong to and came across a post for the release of the figure that is going up as the 2006 Games Day figure.

Looks very nice I like it a lot

yep. It\'s really nice, definately want to paint it! Yet another reason for me going to UK GD.. They do have the same miniature, right?

I hope so I seem to recall that it is the smae one for all the GD\'s across the world if it isn\'t then I will have to talk nicely to Cedric again

It\'s the same mini for France and the US, so things shouldn\'t be too different in the UK I guess ... but just in case, come over to France .

@Martyn : sorry, but the mini comes with the ticket and you can only get one. In doubt, come to France . Rob and Adrian will probably be making the trip, and Kaple, Sanjay, and Stuart are planning on coming.

Coming across to France is not that bad an idea, trouble is will I be at sea or not??? When and where is the French GD next year? I\'d guess Paris but could be wrong.

Ths is where that painters calendar would come in handy for silly old fools like me who are losing their memory or is it just a case now that there are to many cometitions???

It\'s on Sunday the 9th of April at the Stade de France near Paris (there\'s a direct metro to it from Paris). Ticket sales will start on the beginning of January, and usually it\'s sold out a week or two after they start. This year, there will be 3500 tickets (3000 last year). If you need a ticket, PM me and I\'ll be happy to get you one (last year, they weren\'t sold on line).

That\'s exactly why I brought the thread back to life. I was wondering when the other GDs are going to be .

Looks like I will have to give that a miss then as I am in Turkey then if I recall the visits I have next year.

Next year is not a very good competition year for me as I will miss a lot of the good shows including Salute.

I don\'t get back to the UK till late June, I am thinking of trying to get to Chicago though at the end of July, funds depending and will deffinately be entering the UK GD again to see if I can come away with a Demon although as with this year I will settle for making the cut

Sounds like GW are trying to block the EBay sales of the GD figure by not selling them openly at the first few GD\'s each year???

UK shouldn\'t be a problem as July onwards sees me in UK waters and most weekends off so it is just a case of swapping duties if need be to get to the UK GD, although I will be driving up from Plymouth this year for it which will add an extra two hours on the drive.

So I shall look forward to seeing you there

Why is it that every other time I\'ve seen this mini, I\'ve somehow been unconciously thinking the rest of the daemon is buried in the snow ??? Obviously the dwarf has chopped the thing\'s head off
