It is in my Humble oppion that the summer of 2007 should be celebrated as the Summer of GEEK!
And here\'s my reasons why:
I\'m already sick of hearing about the people that wish to lead this great nation of ours. I mean, come on the election isn\'t until November \'08, 17 months from now! Now I do care who and how they lead, but it\'s already starting to burn me out.
But on the meat of this reasoning. Star Wars turns 30, nuff said on that. Harry Potter, both the movie and the last book. Is Dumbledore dead? (well he is something like 400 to 800 years olds) Is Snape a good guy or bad? will Harry prevail over Volamort or not? Will Hermione ever find a hair stylist that does a proper job? All this and more come June 21.
Transformers, The Movie. By all the dark gods of Hollywood, please don\'t let this suck!
Pirates 3, Johnny Depp has play his part well IMHO, and this movie has everything! Pirates, Monkeys (well A monkey), Chow Young Fat (so a possibility of NINJAS, ok maybe.)
Spiderman 3, not the greatest of the three, far to many villains, but it is based on a comic book, so geek it is.
Fantastic Four 2. Ok Galatuc is a cloud, but it could be worse, he could be wearing shorts and have a giant \"G\" on his chest.
On the gaming front
STARCRAFT 2! Hell, Blizzard! It is about time!
Halo 3
Quake Wars
(oh my poor, poor computer and graphics card...)
And speaking of computers, a new TV show for this fall \"the IT Crowd\". Think of it, it is no longer nerdish to know a thing or three about computers, it\'s cool and hip! As well as pays a pretty penny!
Also, using one or more encryption codes, the number 2007 can be converted into GEEK. Hey it worked for the Di Vinci Code, so who knows it could work.
Now I know that I have missed a couple of things (please feel free to add to the list)
