2009 Gamesday Mini on Ebay

I really wanted to paint this up as this years model is the best in quite some time. Reality is, I\'m never going to get to it, so I thought I\'d make it available to anyone that wanted to pick it up before the GD\'s start.

Just to add to this. From what I\'ve heard from my GW manager, this mini will not be available during the Games day. It will only be available when you buy the ticket, at least in USA.

I heard the same. It makes me sad, since I would like to keep one for my collection, but I\'m trying to pare down said collection to something a bit more reasonable.

I\'m just annoyed that to get one and a ticket, I have to pay $14.00 tax and shipping on top of the $40.00.

They\'ve actually done a good thing this year and separated it. It\'s $25 for the ticket and if you want the mini it\'s another $15. Of course, this year they did it when it\'s a really good model so they still got my $40.

I don\'t but it actually makes certain common sense (not sure about business sense). Collectors will get them anyway, for others it might attract more people because tickets now are cheaper

Umm do the math Einstein, $25+$15 is $$$40.00


So being that I want the ticket AND the model its $40.00 plus $14.00 tax and shipping.

Being I can\'t apparently get the model at Games Day..its going to cost me $54.00 total to get both.

I ship packages daily for my business..I know at most it should cost $5.00 to send that to me.

No they got your $54.00 unless you have a localGW store that sells them.

My gripe isn\'t with the price of the ticket or the model.. its the Padding of the price with all the shipping. I will even agree to the Tax, I can see that as a business they need to charge that.. don\'t agree with it as I dont live in Maryland but $10.00 to post me a piece of paper and a 2 ounce miniature its a bit excessive. I run a business and people moan that I actually charge exact shipping or in many cases Less than actual shipping costs.

Ah yes, you do get screwed then. I happened to be in the city and stopped at a GW store.

I thought you could get the model at Gamesday when you purchase your ticket there. If not they\'re making a big mistake!

OK I was going by what Skeeve said,

If you can buy ticket and mini at a GD then Ill do it that way but I can see then in the infinite wisdom making the LE Mini only available through mail order.

They did it this way in the UK last year a well...
Main reason I got from Head Office was that it means they can cast a more rasonable number.. They have been left with a massive excess in the past and that excess costs xtra money .. tieing it to tickets they have a fair idea of what ticket sales will be so can make the amountmore reasonable.. It also stops ebayers going into the show in a morning and buying 30 plus ad selling them over time whic again leads to problems this time shortages so little johnny misses out...

Also t UK winners day the other day and apparently there are changes worldwide coming into effect on the GD front with all countries having exactly the same ctegories with the same restrictions ...

herd the same thing about GD. That has s been a goal of Alan Merrits for years. They have also apparently purchased enough sword for all events for years to come so everyone\'s top prize is the same and not some sword purchased out of a catalog or f at a mall gift shop.

Sure at probably close to what Zacs sold for.. they always tend to go high to guys like yourself who want one but has no plans to attend a GD.

There should be lots of french GD ones showing up soon. Its the same figure for all GD.

That all depends, look for someone who just wants a ticket to a GD and split the package with them. Order the pair and sell the ticket for face value, even with shipping your going to pay less than you would on eBay.
