@dauber

but didn\'t the Jets or the Giants (american football teams) just get \'approved\' for new stadiums?

You\'re gonna pay, regardless!!!

What about us poor sods who live in London who will have to pay extra council tax to pay for it all! That doesn\'t get shouted about. I think they are looking at £50 per household in London per year or something ridiculous like that

Gotta say ... Chirac must hold his hands up to some extent with his retarded comments about the UK.... (probably doesn\'t realise the world\'s most highly rated restaurant is in the UK.... along with about 40% of the top 10 being here too). If I was a Frenchman, I\'d be yelling for a resignation.

I see the english press is doing its job quit well. But actually the french delegation never considered this to be a competition where they had to piss on the other team. Not once did I see in the news or on TV any comment about the english candidature/president/whatever. And I really find it sad that the enflish press had to go so low about an olympique event, makes me think they forgot what the olympics are about. Oh and please stop spiting out those english news paper\'s trash here, I get enougth of it at home. And truth is I don\'t really see any need to piss on our president, you don\'t see us complaining for blair\'s questionable attitude.

I was really suprised to hear it. I was watching the news this mornin\' and it really seemed doubtful for London... compared to Paris.

Anyway, it\'s great! Though I am not so happy to say that it will seem almost completely the same as having it on another planet, to me - I\'ll never get to go to London. Us \'Welshies\', so close to the action, yet so far away. Well s\'pose it may have something to do with me just being 14 too.

He\'s hardly a beacon of shining light now, is he?lol

That\'s putting it mildly...

@Sturm - put a track in it! Or Olympic Trapese Championships!!:D

I\'m happy about it. As for the cost? Who cares? £50 a year is neither here nor there really - £4 a month? Seems fair enough. I\'ll pay it...

Between Fox News rejoicing that some bombing was to occure in Paris during the olympic thing, tax collectors growing an extra set of fangs and the fact that most of the suppliers I need to visit every week are in or around Paris, London is a prefect place for hosting such a huge affair. The football thing was already such a pain in the ...

In fact I have never watch a football match. I watched Tess the night of the cup: Melle Kinski or a handfull of sweating guys running after a ball...
Instead of taking me 4 hours to see my suppliers, I spent 10 hours driving around ( traffic jams and diversions) and showing policemen what was in in my vehicule :mad: . And there was no big constuctions planned...
I\'m sure UK and London are far better prepared to host such things and it\'s quite easy to go there if you are interessted in such events
:)

And do you think you are to say that ??? I supose you have the competence to be a great president right ?
Not fogeting the fact that you actually know the man, because insulting sombody based on what you have read in the paper would be kinda dumb. INsulting sombody is so easy, but quit frankly I don\'t think you could do any better. So tell me why do feel the need to insult people like that ?
