Around this time the black library published a series of miniatures of their characters. Only 500 copies of each has ever been cast so, you can imagine they are pretty rare. This one is probably the least common since most people don’t feel like parting with it – it is , after all, the only available 28 mm Eisenhorn.

The miniature is a part of a diorama depicting the final encounter between Eisenhorn and Pontius Glaw. I refer those interested to the last 20 pages of “Hereticus” by Dan Abnett (actually, read whole trilogy – it is worth it)

The commissioner requested Eisenhorn to be painted in a color scheme as close as possible to “official” paintjob as could be found in the manual to the Inquisitor game.

The major problem I have to deal with, while painting this miniature is horrendous quality of cast. In this particular case, cast quality actually interfered with the painting. In the end of the day, I have to cover the cloak with several layer of diluted Apoxisculpt to remove all pits and cracks. I have to seriously correct the gun arm (pretty much all folds were smashed and I have to make them from scratch) and I moved this arm from around “nipple” area to a more natural for humans place.

I added base from Armorcast and FW skull servitor and decided to shift the timeline of the diorama to the point when Glaw just died, killed by a psychically controlled blade.
