3:10 to Yuma

Just saw it. Enjoyed it. Go check it out. For Serenity fans, Alan Tudyk was entertaining as always. Crowe and Bale were good, as expected.

Have to agree with the ads that it is the best Western I\'ve seen since Unforgiven.

How\'s it stack up to these ones, though?

Tombstone...

The Magnificent Seven...

For me, Tombstone is the one that got me into the genre at all. Saw it at a sneak
preview that I won from a radio station, and it swept me away. I loved it.
The Magnificent Seven, a classic of the genre, was just witty and cool with a
fantastic cast from its own era.
Before my time, but worth watching in my books. Repeatedly.

Seven Samurai was cooler because it had swords ;) But still, Magnificent Seven is very very good. I can\'t believe how often you can buy this for like $5-10 in the discount bins.

3:10 to Yuma was one of the highest movies on my to watch list this year, and that was before I knew Alan Tudyk had anything to do with it. I just hope he doesn\'t get kabob\'ed by Reavers again...

Better than the original? Different to the original? I\'m thinking of going to see it, but I already rather like the one from the 50s so I\'m wondering if there is much point.

And Once Upon a Time in The West is my favourite Western by a long way. So many classic scenes and shots, an amazing score, great sound and some fine performances from Charles Bronson, Henry Fonda, Jason Robards and the sizzling hot Claudia Cardinalle

I haven\'t seen all the Westerns mentioned above, so I can\'t really say how it stacks up. I also enjoyed Tombstone, and thought this one was comparable. I still haven\'t seen Magnificent Seven, though I did see and thoroughly enjoyed Seven Samurai. Toshiro Mifune kicks some serious you-know-what!

Anything with Charlie Sheen in it has gotta be good...

No wait... Except maybe Navy SEALs...
