Reet Im off, got a one way ticket to Amsterdam and a bike laden with gear.

Me and two hippie mates are going to cycle down through Europe, over North Africa and back into Europe busking and hustling to make some cash.

No idea how long it will take but if I\'m ever near fellow cmon\'ers I\'ll let you know.

Out for one last piss up tonight then its last minute packing and off to the docks.

I\'m fecking brickin it.

Peace and love...

I didn\'t know, so cheers for that. What is crime like in Amsterdam? I.e. will my bike get damaged or knicked if I leave it locked up outside overnight.

Anders, I sure will!

Good luck Matty! This whole idea sounds frightening to me, but should be an adventure for sure! Get it out of your system before middle age taps you on the shoulder and then sucker punches you my friend!

Good luck, again (Can\'t be said enough!).

Cool! Good luck on you! What kind of seat do you need on a bike for riding that long? I get sore just thinking of it.

Ideally a brooks rock hard leather saddle, which mold to the shape of your arse. But failing that iv just got some cycling shorts with padding. Feels like wearing a nappy.

One or two things left to pack now, and my hangover is wearing off!

Peace and love...

Sounds like fun, just don\'t get sidetracked and stay in Amsterdam the whole time ;)

lol

I did that when I was about Matty\'s age.... I scored a job packing tulip bulbs somewhere in Holland but decided to go to Amsterdam first... ended up staying there for 3 weeks until I ran out of cash and spent the rest of the summer trying to mend my head :D

I seem to remember loads of North African chaps wandering around selling fake resin.... stick to the coffee shops Matty.... :D

I reckon the bigger problem will actually be trying to find it again the following day. Like trying to find a needle. In a pile of needles! The only place in the world where I\'ve nearly been mowed down on a daily basis by cyclists. They observe no rules at all. 2 wheeled anarchy...

Loving it. Left Amsterdaam first night with some cyclists we met and are now in Utrecht, been here a week practicing and busking and going to the mad festival this weekend.

Met loads of people, shared my tent with a homeless guy. (he really needed the warmth) and tonight we are staying at a guy called Rijad, he has ADHD and even with all the grass he is still zipping around.
Really great guy though, cleared out his cupboards to feed us.

Anyway Rotterdam or Eindhoven next the maybe Berlin (ACE city) or head down for work in France. Descisions.

Peace and love...

It shows I\'m getting old...I\'d avoid the big cities if I was on my bike, and get up in the hills and out into the villages and towns lol

No hills in Holland though. I miss them. Problem is we need cities to earn cash, but we have work sorted in French farms for over the Autumn.

Peace and love...
