Hey there... I did a photoshoot at a friends house and have finished putting them together and the pics are up on CMON. Special thanks to GunjiNoKanrei for the image resizing and manipulation article he did :flip: I\'d mainly like advices on the Chaos guy as the others were nothing serious.. just tabletop standard and some testing :)

Here\'s the Chaos Champ..

and for the others which are an Imperial Guard Sergeant i did for tabletop playing and a Gobbo i did some expirementing on check my gallery if you\'re interested..

Thanks :D

Woops, haven\'t seen this thread till now, sorry :(

I am glad you found my article helpful :)

The Chaos Champ looks good. He will look even better once based, but you mentioned that yourself.
I think the cloak is probably the best part. The red came out very good and it looks old and worn.
Overall I suggest you should try to be more bold with highlighting and sahding. The boots, helmet and horns for example look a bit flat and could use some (stronger?) highlights (boots, helmet) and/or deeper shading (horns).
Make sure to finish the base soon and post pictures. I am eager to see them :)

Alright. I\'ll try again  I had a comment all typed out only to have it just flat disappear  Must\'ve hit something by mistake.

Anyways, what I was going to say is that I agree with GNK. The cloak, the red in particular, is definately the best part. The red manages to look rich in color while still looking travelworn and slightly faded. One thing I find bothersome and distracting is that the boots and horns are almost the same color and value. It may just be the photo, but its distracting none the less. I\'d go a little deeper, warmer brown for the boots, using the existing color for highlights as if they too were worn. I like the feel of the upright axe as it too matches the well-used feel of the cloak. another nigglingly bothersome thing is that there is a mold line on the top of the other axe head.

All that said, I really like the feel of this mini. Keep plugging away. Looking good. :)

Hmm.. never thought about the boots and horn matching in colors/hues/whatevers... i\'ll maybe redo the horns as they were only a practice and i didn\'t want Brown to bleached bone blended horns.. but the boots were one of my most fave parts as they\'re quite well blended.. lighting messed something up.

But thanks alot... i\'ll go back and work more on him once i finish some converting and my Grey Knight justicar :D

Oh! WEll if you\'re going to change the horns, by all means leave the boots the same. You\'re right. The blending on them is quite good. It was just in relationship to the color of the horns that they bothered me :D
