I found it very pretty. I loved the persians, but I didn\'t care much for the super macho \"there\'s no place for the weak\" spartans. The persians were probably just as bad, but at least they had bomb throwing alchemists in chainmail beards! Ans immortals! The story was extremely boring, but the fight scenes were cool. Although snow in slow motion has been done like a million times before...

That sums up my thoughts on the movie too. But with one exception, the Spartans really WERE that tough.

My cousin is refusing to let me skip this at the cinema because he is so enamored with the film. He\'s taking me this weekend and is paying for my ticket, so no worries there!

The last film he bigged up this much was the remade Dawn of The Dead, which he also ended up taking me to see. He didn\'t realise that they were both by the same director until I pointed it out and he\'s now rather worried he might have oversold 300, because he did the same with DoTD and I thought it was very average!

I\'m trying to keep an open mind anyway.

Thanks to Vike I will now want to scream \"Red Sauce on Pasta!\" during the \"This is Sparta!\" bit though. At the very least I\'ll probably chuckle stupidly and end up getting a few confused looks.

That should be fun anyway!

Thats funny. The samething happened here. All of the gay teachers here, and their Korean boyfriends, are lusting after the Spartans.

I was joking with them saying, \"Great! You have taken one of the coolest movies around and made it into soft core porn.\" lol

Was meant to go and see it this weekend but was in hospital, so my friend picked me up a naughty pirate copy (YAAAR!) from a car boot sale which is an incredible quality copy! have seen it about 10 times now and it rocks!

It definatley is one of them films you need to see on the big telly at the pictures though, so will try to get down this weekend.

RDA: 300 ripped guys

It is a very cool film - seen it twice myself :p There is some serious eye-candy and I don\'t just mean the ripling six-packs. The visuals are stunning.... guys standing on cliffs looking out to sea with the rain lashing against their shields etc. All fantastic...

However....one thing I will question is.. where on earth did they find those women with the freakiest nipples ever to grace the screen ??? I mean, we are talking malteasers on fried eggs or at the very least chapel hat pegs. I mean, those things could take an eye out...

They had a life of thier own! The queens nipples were gyrating all over her boobs. But hen...i would notice that wouldn\'t I ;)

Yeah. And it gets worse since my wife says that was the best part of the movie. She wasn\'t a fan of the fighting. Looks like I need to find a palate class pronto. lol

First of all, attention, Spoilers. However, you probably won\'t have too much spoilt because of the... not bloated plot this movie has.

I just came back from the movie - I was in the \"preview\". Cheryll liked the movie, I kinda feel... meh. Especially after your glowing reviews I expected too much, it seems. The plot was just badly done, in my opinion. I would have prefered it if there would have been no plot at all and just fight scenes. The fight scenes were good, but not great - the \"slo-mo to fast forward\" thing was overdone, as far as I\'m concerned. What really got me was that several plot elements just didn\'t go anywhere and some were just cut short. Sending the disfigured one away just struck me as stupid too - I am not just talking about it being obvious that he would betray them all, but also about the reason. He was sent away because he could not fight in phalanx formation, which is what makes the spartans so strong. The guys fought in phalanx formation for about 3 minutes and only about a dozen of the spartans actually connected with the enemy. Then they all broke formation and it degenerated into a large brawl.

Well, no need to point out everything I didn\'t like.... the movie is OK, but I would not pay to watch it again. Once is quite enough.

Just returned from viewing it. Unfortunately not at the cinemas..

I wasn\'t disappointed. It was quite frankly a bad movie.. but I kind of already guessed that. It had its moments though. ;) Some priceless one-liners that I\'ll probably be using frequently in the next couple of weeks! :p Some nice fighting scenes as well. But some of the cgi wasn\'t up to standards and that bothered me. Especially that lame wolf.
