3D \"Chapters\" Display

Okay, I wanted to do something like this since Rogue Trader Era, but never got to it.

You may remember my Trading Post call for Cookie Cutter Marines.

I \"WANTED\" to make a 3-dimensional recreation of the Adaptes Astartes poster.

But unfortunately for me, probably fortunately for you, I didn\'t get enough to do so.
So instead, I\'d like to try and create the Original 20 Legions.
(Minus the 2 missing of course) but I thought maybe some of you would be interested, and maybe I could keep plugging away at it until I actually finished!
And with your feedback and nagging, I\'d like to try and complete my first (Start-to-Finish) Work In Progress Post!

So anyone interested?

Iam VERY interested. I too thort of doing something like this so it will be good to see how hard..I mean easy it will be :D.....stu.....

Well it wouldn\'t be half a cool with the regular old standard poses!

It will be at least 5 times as \"cool\" with only 12 times the \"work\" reposing everything.

Although, I\'ve never seen the poster.:bouncy:

@stubert~~ If you are going to do it, I suggest finding figs that are easier to get yer hands on...LOL

@supervike~~ I\'ll be trying to do SOMETHING at least once a week, but with 2 jobs (one in and one out of the house) and school, I doubt I can do more than that.

@hamhamlunchbox~~ No pose/repose. I am using the old \"regiment\" figures, back when GW tried making it easy to fill out armies with hordes of identical figs, in this case the \"cookie cutter\" Space Marines.

About 20 years now... I remember getting blisters for £2.50 and having to decide hard which I\'d get coz I only had a few £££s

I have around 6 of those minis.

I have some of those still, and that is about what the ads looked like when I started, but the WD was still imported from the UK so it was more than a few pounds over here, more like $7 for a blister of three.
But the box of 20 on sprues was only $20!!
You can\'t even get 10 for that now, and they were ALL beaky!!

But I only have 27 of them, so I can really only do the first 20 like this.

I will try and keep a photo record when I do anything, and that will include the display that I make as well.

I was thinking four shelves with 5 marines on each, with the Aquila in relief behind them.

I have school for my BA, 2 jobs, and alternating weekends with my daughters. I\'ll do my best, but I can only promise one update a week, and no promises on huge leaps in progress. :D
