On the subject of the missing chapters/ legions. The new Horus Heresy book - The First Heretic - has Magnus and Lorgar talking about them in a tittilating fashion.As far as I am aware this is the first time that the missing legions has been alluded to. From the book it states that the 2 legions and their primarchs were purged from the records by the emperor, but obviously the remaining primarchs still remember them. No other details so still plenty to speculate on why they were purged.

I'm reading False Gods.
It is so nice having time to read for fun again!
I've started working in the "work" room setting up for airbrushing.
The "speed painting" videos from Miniature Mentor inspired me to finally dish out for an airbrush.
Will be a bit longer cleaning up my painting desk. Am getting excited to start though.

Dude, I missed your happy ass! There's not enough lolability here recently. Apparantly when me and Cassar have a laugh the legion of Mary are launched!

I think that one of the purged chapters are the rainbow warriors. They were one of the original 12 chapters from Rogue Trader. You can see their demise at the end of the Rogue Trader book by the Sisters of Battle! This was before the "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy was implemented by the Emperor! Hehehe!! XP

i was in nam you know...fighting the lesbians..greeNAM common....ok no i wasnt but i think about it a lot.

i prefer not to refer to them as rainbow warriors...more malcontents who have deeply unfulfilling lives and low self esteem (probably small winkies too). i have an image of them in my mind something akin to ric with a silent "p" from the young ones

If anyone was going to be a rainbow warrior, it'd be Neil. Ric is more like an Ultramarine, all pomp and circumstance until crunch time whereupon he just flails uselessly and quacks while the big boys do the work.

We don' need no steenkin' tanks! We are the real dogs of war. Other chapters are more akin to frail kittens maliciously trying to bat about a ball of string and look pretty doing it so maybe mummy will take a cute picture and post it on lolcats to have a witty miss spelt sub heading plastered on it.
WE WILL CLEAVE THE STRING AND THE KITTY IN TWAIN! Twain, I say!
