3D custom Link - digital sculpt - work in progress

I've commissioned a 3D sculpt of Link to play in Arcadia Quest. This is the work in progress. I will probably do a limited number of prints, probably only 5 to 10. I'll be having custom cards professionally printed to go with them. I'm pretty pleased so far, will be doing some alterations on the feet, adding a shield on his back, and obviously his bow. Also, have to include the base.

I think I'm going to make the shield a little larger, the top of the base a bit smaller, and tuck his eyebrow behind his hair. Close to printing time

I did a lighter gray to make the details stand out. Apparently I need to match the colors better.

The cards will arrive this week. They are numbered; 1 of 20, 2 of 20, 3 of 20, etc. I am limiting my 3D print of this figure to a maximum of 20. I printed a few different stats; some cards were done with Greensleeves, some with Blossom, some with Dris, and other with Nina. I felt they all were a good representation of Link with a bow.


The cards arrived. I've gone over him with a slightly lighter gray and a clear coat.

ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF THE EXTRA ATTACHMENTS THAT ARE SHOWING UP AT THE END OF THIS POST?

Thanks. Depending how it turns out and if anyone else has interest in them, I will commission a few more poses to have all "Four Swords" Link. I was thinking a bow pose, sword, bomb, and fire staff poses.

Its perfect. My wife daughter an I just got our switch and dove right into the new Zelda! So good.

I'm jealous. I'm a Zelda fanatic, but don't own a Switch. Admittedly, I just changed jobs and don't have time be playing video games right now. Perhaps next summer I will get the time and opportunity to dive into the newest release. I've heard great reviews for it. Enjoy.

We saved up for quite a while to get the switch - it helped that they were out of stock for almost 6months! I would wait even longer for that initial price drop they tend to do around a year in, but my wife got a bunch of gift cards as a bonus from her work so that helped bring the price down Its very different but i like the sketched style of the grfx

I've updated the first post again with more pictures. They show the 3D sculpt that arrived. I've done a bit of painting to match the gray of the original game pieces, but I still need to work on getting the color closer. Now that I've seen the sculpt printed, I will be ordering more.

Thank you. I wish I could take credit, but I didn't make it myself. It was a commission. I'm hoping to sell a few. If I break even, I will do a couple more. A "Four Swords" variety of Links would be my hope, but I can't afford them without selling a few.

I will be sure to tell my friend that you like his work.

I just posted one of these on eBay. We'll see if it gets any interests; that will determine if this is a one and done, or if I'll do a Four Swords Link set. :bashful:
