My name is Alexei.

I am experienced 3D sculptor with background in game industry as 3D Character Artist.
I have participated in development of 3 Board games where i was responsable for concepting and 3D sculpting characters. It was an incredibly pleasure for me to work on those projects.
Now i am in search for new propositions and contracts.

Hi everyone,

so I decided, that I'll give a try as I was looking for a sculptor for a project for a long time.

First the usual questions about ability/price/when payments are due/etc. It all went pretty smoothly, got a good price and the work order was also to my liking. All in all the communication part was already super even before the project started.
Then based on past experiences with sculptors I thought it will take a LOT of time until I see something. Boy was I surprised.
Only 3 days after the first PM there was an almost finished model, that looked very close to the concept art. I asked for a few tweaks but not much was needed. In some parts it was even more detailed then I though it should be (eyes with sculpted iris and eyelashes, they were removed). What I wanted most is that the feeling of the image be shown on the scuplt and I think that was a success. Now only after 6 days the model is finished, verified for 3d print on shapeways and the file is sent to me.
Now it will take about a week until shapeways prints and delivers.

As a small list (1-5 with 5 being the best):
- communication : 5
- price : 5
- qualty: 5
- speed: 5

All in all I can only recommend because compared to my expectations the impossible was achived (great quality-speed-price, all 3 at the same time).
Would I want to do business again? Of course. Just as a private person I need some time to paint this figure, earn money for the next project, try to convince Alexei to have some free time for it.

Wow, very nice work! Thank you for sharing the review MAXXxxx. I've been tempted to do something like this, but never looked into it all that seriously. I'll definitely have to give it some serious thought now. If I find a concept I need to have sculpted, I'll keep Alexei in mind. Really nice results!

MAXXxxx, I'd also be interested to hear about your experience with Shapeways. When they deliver, would you mind posting your thoughts on the quality/level of detail in the print and the pricing? Or just send me a pm and let me know what you think because I'm definitely interested to hear about it!

Hey Guys!

Just updating my post with one of my latest sculpts.

Those models were made as private order for a particular collector to improve his Kroot Army. It was an extremely interesting and challenging task for me to execute those Kroot Hounds, to feel their nature, behaviour, range of movements.
