3D Zombicide Board

I know that the Sarissa stuff comes in pieces you push together. The reviews I've read suggest you don't need glue, and if that's the case, the buildings could be broken down for storage! I've made an order for one of the smaller buildings so I'll let you know what they're like.

Great, thanks. I really appreciate it. Because those beautiful laser-cut buildings can break down, there's really no reason for me to go elsewhere. They're super nice.

No doubt I will be doing 3D. Will be easy to do using some of the paper terrain building interiors and foam board. Will use the game board as a template. I have done this for several other board/miniature games. Will post pictures later.

Nice pics. Thanks to all of you who posted them.

I've been considering doing 3D as well, but if I do I think I'm going to make walls that map cleanly to the game's tiles and that are low enough that it's easy to see what's going on and to reach over them. Not sure if I want to do 3D tables and beds and such as they'll reduce the ability to cleanly put models in the spaces.

Still a cool idea that would add to the visual appeal of the game. Well, along with painting my minis some day...

If you do a 3D board, that you intend to play Zombicide on, how do you handle doors ?

Reproducing the layout of the tiles is easy enough, but the game calls for external doors that can be added or removed.

If I make a 3D board, I'll likely make two fold -overs for the doors. One will have a closed door on both sides and the other will have a door with a huge hole in it, like it's been ripped away. Might even just do a black door-frame shape and an open door sitting beside it, on the same sheet. When the closed doors are placed, you just hang the inverted "u" shaped door on the appropriate area of the wal. When it's opened, replace it with the open door hanger.

Not super pretty, but likely good enough for my needs.

hi all

New here and as I'm also interested in a 3d board version for zombicide I arrived in this thread. It's been a while since anyone has replied here but I was wondering if no one has had plans for a 3D printed version of the buildings / tiles? it would be a practical way of making numerous scenarios. I wished I could work with a 3d program so I could do it myself.. :(

Anyway. If some one would do it, I would be happy to buy a cope through shapeways,.....

regards
