very cool. thats how a predator should be, lookn like its been through hell.

Great weather effect. the barb wire around the rear of the turret adds a nice atmosphere. my only grip is the pentagram on the rear of the haul. not that its poorly done but, to me, it seems out of place because there is no other graphitti on the tank.

Crazy fool: You spend all that time doing a piece this nice and leave mould-lines on the Marine. In my country they shoot people for things like that!

The first thing I thought when I saw this was wow, it looks really neat, which legion or warband does it belong to?

So looking at the model as a whole it needs some sort of identifier or insignia.

What really turns me off is the pentagram. It does\'nt really fit in the fluff anywhere and I always get the impression that it is there for a shock value more than anything else. I get so tired of seeing this as somehow something new or creative. Sorry, been there, done that, got the T-shirt. Poor choice.

What would have been better is a 8 pointed chaos star. It is fluffy, never is out of place and does\'nt have any kind of negative or shock value to it. Even the highly stylized or half chaos stars work very well. Add a few more blood painted stars on the sides and front and it will really have some punch and eye-catching aspects, always a good thing in a top notch model. maybe make the blood red a little more brown so it looks more dried on, if thatis what you were going for. Just a tiny bit though, I don\'t think you were going for rust.

The weathering is superb, battle damage is also equally well done.

Highlight could be a bit stronger in a few areas, and I think just a touch more rust on the larger weathered areas would be goods as well. However it may already be there and just not showing up in the pictures.

Hi all,

thnx for the comments, very good advice and I\'ve answered a few of them below. I\'m (slowly) working thru a Chaos army and maybe the Project Logs might be a good/better place to post .....?

cheers

Yeah that is my fault, my brother in law started assembly then gave up and got me to finish it and I didnt check it properly :( Since taking these pics I\'ve cleaned up the lines and retouched the Marine .......

Kind of have to agree with the comments on the Pentagam. It was a bit of an afterthought to break up the montone colour of the rear door.

The background is a group of Chaos Undivided units and so I was going to try and use the yellow theme as an identifyer. The Pentagram certainly wasnt intended for shock value and to be honest I hadnt seen that many so used it to be different!! I\'ll get a few more pieces of the army done and have a think about it a bit more, maybe replace it with a partial pointed star or some varient.

Wonderful weathering. Bravo! I also agree with GAR about the pentagram, I\'m not too fond of it. But that\'s a very small thing on an otherwise excellent model! :)

Great weathering, lots of hard work to make it look like crap. I cant find the mould line either, but thats probably because I've put together 3 space marines in my life and don't know what to look for.

Superb job, only I would think that as advanced as the 40k universe is, they would have the technology to create smog-free machines!

Advanced, absolutely. Completely smacked back to the stone age and not able to see the difference between a combustion engine and a god, you bet! That's not smog! That's the holy breath of the Machine Spirit! :D
