Another long and drawn out painting session on an old converted savage orc unit tonight, or should I say this morning! Jut put the brushes to bed after finishing off the 'woad' warpaint that is iconic to the said orcs. I feel that the majority of the models came out pretty well considering the limited time I spent on each individual design; but one has to remember that with gaming peices, progress is key: get caugt up with one faucet of the model and painters of my limited ability get frustrated and take 6 month painting breaks!

Alas, there is still much to accomplish on this particular unit, including the perreferal heros that will be attached to the unit in thematic armies. Such heros are panted pretty much the same as the orcs themselves, with th exception of some added detail. The savage orc bigboss "William Waaagh-azz" is modelled after the movie poster advertising Mel Gibson in Braveheart, wherin much greenstuff and questionable sculpting went into him; a savage orc shaman also complements the unit, however, with a distinct disparity of care put into the model.

I'll have pictures up sometime soon, but since this weekend is shot for painting I might have to wait on that.
