OK folks, wasn\'t sure where to post this, but found this on a Spanish forum:

sculpted by Joaquin Palacios, who has some great miniatures on here already.

The full thread is
here

I think it looks excellent, and nice to see Andrea trying some fantasy subjects. Lots of great painting possibilities too.

Right, that is a beautiful elf! The face is exquisite, as is the pose. But it seems to be displaying a trend that 54mm minis have taken towards large blank areas with no detailing. 28mm minis seem relatively riddled with details where 54mm has the opportunity to put even more in. Great for those who do decent freehand work, uninteresting otherwise.

Damn thats nice, i see some filigree on the chest armour on the concept picture, do you know if the green finished or does it still have details to be added, eitherway its really good.

Edit: i\'ve actually just noticed the unfinished scalemail, so i suppose i\'ve answered my own question :)

This is beatiful.
Are Andrea minis casted in pewter, or are they plastic?
What about prices, are they reasonable?

My problem with this scale is that I\'ll never finish these things, I get bored easily.

But this is very tempting.

Wow, wow wow

There are some models that you see and know that you HAVE to buy and paint. This is one of those for me

@Galante - Both the Andrea minis I have are pewter, I assume this will be too. Andrea prices seem to be very reasonable too, if this is 54mm I\'d expect a price in the £15 to £25 range

@Modderrhu - I think at least some of the large surfaces on this model are unfinished, the other side of the tunic will be platemail at a minimum, looks like they might do more detail on the breastplate too, but that\'s just a guess

I found the picture in a discussion thread so I believe there\'s more to do!

Andrea are currently white metal. Prices, well, that\'s a problem - they can be expensive (certainly relative to 28mm) and I\'d expect to pay 17 Euros, as this fella costs

That\'d be fantastic! For the reason I mentioned, I\'m not crazy about Spyglass miniatures, and 54mm in general. :( But more detail and interest added to this elf, could well make it my first 54mm.

Belting.

And you know I\'m gonna end up getting one. I hope that I\'m seeing things right and he is actually walking on this toes. Adds poise to the figure.

@KingM. Matt I hate to tell you but I\'ve been a customer of Historex Agents & fan of Lynn Sangster\'s Painting & Modelling skills since 1970.
Boy are we talking history in all senses here.

And you are right, they are a good & efficient trading company.

Anybody tried ordering direct from Andrea? Their own prices are very competitive by Continental standards but I don\'t know what they\'re like on shipping. If you\'re in the UK the strength of the Sterling could make it a good deal, if you\'re ordering more than one figure.
