Hello, has anyone ever seen a 54mm GW chaos knight, I have an oppurtunity to get my hands on one (not cheap, not guaranteed). Do you know how rare they are and what they were made for?

I nearly got one a while back and if I were you I would go for it.
They were made for members of GW staff that worked over a Christmas period or something like that I think and were never put out for sale.
I think it comes with a certificate of authenticity as well though I may be wrong on that count.
Anyway like I said go for it if not then let me gor it instead.:D
Just joking.

I have one of these from when I worked for Games Workshop.

They are VERY rare, and so few have been sold, I dont think there is actually a standard price for them. If you want a picture I can take one for you. To be honest its not a great mini, but it is VERY limited.

Staffers are pretty much under pain of death for selling them - and the do come with a certificate of authenticity - dont shell out a lot of money without the certificate.

wasn\'t aware they were ever sold. The model was sculpted by mark bedford, and frankly, not THAT rare. apart from the fact it was given away as a \'well done son\' christmas gift to retail staff, I know that telesales, and GW northern europe were given them as well. That means there\'s at least 6 to 700 of them floating about, and it was not restricted, meaning that any department wanting to spend the budget on getting them cast, will be able to so, much like the \'limited editions\' GW bring out.(IE white dwarf model that was originally sculpted for the 50th edition of the french white dwarf or thereabouts, but has now also been made available to the uk customers)

apart from that. the model is static and flat as a pancake, not one of bedford\'s better pieces. In the long run getting a garanteed limited edition model like the older BL dioramas is a bett.er investment.

Hmmmm, decisions, decisions

So is the minature basically just a standard mounted chaos knight but bigger? I think I will have to ask for a bit more informatoin from the seller. I\'m not really bothered about buying it for investmest purposes I just thought it would be good to have so as I could try and paint it nicely, stick it on a base and \'bobs your uncle\' a lovely little (or big) eye pleaser. I\'ve been doing a bit of commission work in my spare time so I thought what the hell i\'ll treat myself(probaly far to much already).Anyhows thanks for the information I might have to go and meditate for a while. Probaly sleep is a better idea at this time in the morning:D.

that IS limited

compare 6-700 to the 5000 in each language (so 15000 in all so thats about 5%) of Rackham LEs!! Also it cant be sold in standard retail as the horse is armour sculpted over a standard 54mm horse by one of the large 54mm companies...

so ignore Little miss Jaded ;) although the mini is crap, it is rare as hens teeth.
