A big ball of beards and blood

Had an idea after putting up this thread http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/viewthread.php?tid=20893. Going to do some fanatics, I was thinking I wanted to pimp em up a bit. Had an idea for one take the ball and wrap it with barbed wire, then a layer of dwarf beards with a bit more barbed wire. I was gona paint it up to be dull metal with the look of old dried blood on it. I think it will be simple but look really good, at least i hope. I was just wondering if people think its a good idea and if anyone\'s got a bit of info on other fanatic conversions. Cheers folks

I\'d recommend adding a few spikes to the ball in that case, as otherwise your barbed wire has nothing to hold on to.

Also - I don\'t like the idea of beards - sorry, but it sounds as though it\'d look as though it just had some fluff in it

Instead, how about simply adding some thin slivers of green stuff and painting them like bloody chunks of flesh?

Yeah that could work to, i was toying with the idea of a couple of hoops to thread the barbed wire through. Gona do a couple of test things with the loads if milliput ive got floating around.
