Okay, I\'ll read the site you got your info from if you read the site I got mine from.

....and done! I think the Flying Spaghetti Monster has a new follower. They have some pretty convincing arguments, and people certainly can\'t disprove it, so I\'m in favour of it being taught in the classroom. :D

If you liked that site, you should check out THE INVISIBLE PINK UNICORN.....very funny. :)

\"The Invisible Pink Unicorn is a being of great spiritual power. We know this because she is capable of being invisible and pink at the same time. Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorn is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that she is pink; we logically know that she is invisible because we can\'t see her.\"

Slidedogs statement was interesting because it was the opinion I had formed as an outsider with limited information.

Nelson shows a maturity of thought beyond his years and is right about what I was getting at.

@Tab It had occured to me that this might be seen as an attack on you and others directly, wasn\'t meant to be, you\'ve done sterling work on both Paint Aid and WOH and it was not my intention to belittle that. You are a far better person than I am. Its simply not possible for one person to do everything, but you sure do try to.

@ Becca I wish I shared your belief in humanity.

@ Evil Dave No torch weilding gonna go on here, unless its to burn everything down. I\'m sick of humanity and wouldn\'t be bothered to see the whole human race (including myself) swallowed in an earthquake. Having said that, the small spark of hope that we might actually get a clue sometime in the next thousand years means I\'ll paint something either with or without others to put up on ebay for charity.

However, the way the world is going is unacceptable, there really needs to be a a collective understanding and acceptance that we are all in this together and really need to learn to get on with each other. The current inequality of wealth needs to change, that goes for within countries as well as between them.

Blair has made a lot of mistakes, but one thing I admire him for is his stance on global warming and third world debt, now if he can just get everyone else to come on board maybe we can make some changes for the better.

@ Becca, Scully was voted no1 in FHM (I think) magazine top women of the year and made the top ten for a number of years, so yes, its a compliment.

That\'s what I thought, talk the talk, afraid to assume the responsibility. How very U.N.

How about you just give it a rest Evil Dave - you\'ve made your point of view clear to all, everyone knows exactly where they stand with you so let\'s just leave it at that...

Point of view? Doubtful.
Made a point? Definately.

The funny thing about this?
If I were to move to another country it would be Australia. I\'ve been there twice, loved the country, loved the people that I interacted with.

I think now is a good time to walk away from this one before something is said that offends someone whose opinions I respect. One last salvo though.

Evil Dave, I can find you people who debunk Continental drift as well. Just because they are educated experts doesn\'t mean they are right. I\'m sure Copernicus was ridiculed in his time as well. You are right climate change is natural, and has happened before, the pace just seems to be picking up a tad.

Secondly, I have no ill will to any citizen of any country I don\'t know. I have associates from many countries and backgrounds, I judge them by them, rather than the actions of a government.

Thirdly your belief in the qualiy of a government seems grounded in the firepower and money at it\'s disposal. These are passing things, unless you\'re intimating that the USA will be a thousand year empire.

Lastly, your efforts to put Trevor on the back foot would be taken seriously if you had demonstrated any commitment in that direction in the past. Lest you make the challenge to me I will say no, I know I don\'t have the organisational talents drive and sheer persistance of dragonsreach and TAB, so I will do the little I can. It is the individual that matters, not what country they come from.

I\'ll resist the temptation to post again. No one here is going to change their mind, and as you point out there are more appropriate forums for this discussion.

I hardly, think a 6-7 page thread, could give you any true idea of what my beliefs are.
But I\'ll give you the core of my whole belief system. Personal Resposibility.

Lastly, your efforts to put Trevor on the back foot would be taken seriously if you had demonstrated any commitment in that direction in the past.

You see I might agree with that except one teeny, tiny thing. I didn\'t start this. I didn\'t shoot my mouth off, and then backpedal.

See unlike you guys, I, TAB and her family are all very close to the\"piffling\", I believe it was called, devestation caused by Katrina, I myself am less than 50 Miles from New Orleans. So for me Trevor\'s, arjay\'s and your remarks were quite personal.

As for my inclination to demonstrate commitment to charity.
Simply put, I don\'t do charities, too many scams by people to get free money.
I help, I rebuild. I\'ve got a friend living with me right now who is homeless, jobless and probably will be with me until New Orleans is rebuilt and the population influx goes down.
So while I feel for the people in Pakistan, to be honest I\'m a bit ovewhelmed, I\'m sure TAB and her family are pretty much in the same boat.
My intention was simply if you care so much, then why wait for others to take the lead, take some responsibility yourself.

I think this one has just about run its course.

Good debate, but maybe its getting a bit out of hand.

We\'ll call it done! ;)
