A bit of useless trivia...

Was looking at the BBC news website and they had a selection of trivia that had been reported over the last year. This one caught my eye :

73. Ducks have regional accents. London ducks shout out a rough quack to be heard above the urban din; those in the West Country make a quieter, softer sound.

Oh come on if you are going to have duck then the best way to have it is Pekin style, just think of the spring onions sliced cucumber and plum sauce with the shredded duck all wrapped up in a pancake hmmmmmmmmmmm

Mind you I did have a nice breast of duck on puree\'d veggies in Dubai the once and that was nice as welllol

I hate to disillusion you....but those things you have down there in London are actually called pigeons....

Ducks are larger, fatter and tastier and prefer clean water which is why they all stay in the West Country

The Japanese subway has an alarm clock that never fails... its a time set on a air compressor... when the alarm goes it doesnt buz or enything... it simply fills a pillow with air and pushes you out of bed

I\'ll tell you what I know: duck\'s quacks are exponentially decreasing, meaning they act like thier own echo..
Also, East is East, West is West, and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like plums than rhubarb does.. Now, you tell me what you know...

Even better, I\'ve been watching Brainiacs They took a duck into the underpasses near Waterloo station and got it happily quacking away (they tried to take it into the whispering gallery at St Pauls but they weren\'t allowed).

Trivia is NEVER useless. It serves the useful purpose of filling up empty space in the brain so that other annoying things - like birthdays and anniversaries - can\'t get in and spoil your day.
