well if it will be held at reaper then that is very convenient. As far as days go, I think Saturday through Monday would work best just to maximize the use of space at a hotel :)

also, jeremie! bring some Kraken Editions minis with you again this year! :D

I would love to go. I live near LA so I would not mind the drive. I heard it was about 3 hours.

When is reaper con and all that stuff that was mentioned in this thread?

LA to Dallas? Umm I think the drive is a wee bit longer than three hours..

Yes the drive is much longer than 3 hours! LA to Phoenix (where I used to live) was about 6 hours.

Anyway, Reaper is handling Jeremie\'s class now because that\'s the same weekend as GD Baltimore. I have already committed to attend GD Baltimore so I can spend time with my family as well as make it to at least one convention this year.

Hope all of you enjoy the time with Jeremie and if you\'d like to stop by my house when I get back just let me know. My home is open to fellow painters.

we need to get Jeremie to britain :(

Mike and myself tried, it was way more than what people could afford due to the rip off prices in blightey. :~(
Most places with the accomodation space we were looking at had prices in the £3000+ range for a days hire. That was with food in some places, but didn\'t include any excess for cleaning. (How Much?)
Nor did it take into account overnight accomodation for Jeremie and/or his translator or any \"support\" systems like whiteboards, flipcharts etc.
That would have worked out as far too expensive per head.
Pub rooms for hire were cheaper, but didn\'t have either the space or could guarentee the privacy for a gathering like that.

err...did you try a college or two? the one I have contact with has an art department with plenty of work space, and all the educational aids that anyone could want - smartboards etc.

or how about someone opening their home up for the event? That\'s what I was planning on doing.

we all live in little houses on cobble streets here with no room to swing a cat .....

There are seral places that can accomodate it round this part of the world none wth onsite accomodation but the city has plenty of that.

I\'d look into it further but in general these things always start off with aglimmer of excitement and half the world sayin they\'ll go but as soon as the prices involved are mentioned people bail out quickly and somebody somewhere is left with a hell of a bill. And let\'s be honest . I mean howmany pul out of events due to costs of getting there let alone any thought of having to stay overnight.. For the size of our Island it can be a costly and difficult job getting anywhere.
