A closeup (warning - big pic)

Well.. me and my friend had some fun using two of his lenses combined to gain some closeups. Unfortunately the lens covered the light a bit but..
I think you can make out most of the details anyway. ;)

Notice the depth of field.. we actually had trouble getting the whole face in focus with this special technique.. ah well. The miniature itself would fit inside one of his eyes if I
hold it against the screen. lol Oh.. and this is a slightly reduced version of the original pic.

The skin looks freakingly much like skin I think.. but he does have some serious skin issues ;) Maybe a peeling cream would be a recommendation?

@airhead: oh. maybe I should have post it in the photography thread. It was just a fun photo experiment.. It\'s not even done with a macro lens.
I\'ve never seen a mini this close and sharp, I thought it would be fun to share. It all looks so wierd when you can see the structure of the paint
as well as every speck of dust I picked up while painted.

@HakoMike: Well.. closeups at this size aren\'t useful in another way then just being fun. I can\'t make out all those details while painting it.
But it definately gives another dimension to it if someone try to fix some of those errors..

It reminds me of a medieval polychrome statue, with the exception of the elf ears. Could you post a regular sized picture with normal photography so we can compare the two images? I wonder what a mini would look like if it were painted underneath a stereoscopic micrscope...
