A couple of minis

Some of you who have been here for a while may remember this piece. It's a Tyrant of Vile-Tis Wolfen from Rackham (man I miss them). This was the first miniature where I really solicited help from forum members to improve. He's got some problems, but I'm still really proud of him.

This diorama was made for a ladder entry over at WAMP. The theme was Shield and this is my interpretation. Originally there was a downspout attached to the rain barrel, but a number of people hated it and suggested I remove it. A couple days after those comments I was packing him up for a local painting competition and the spout broke off! I took it as a sign, threw the spout away, and touched up the broken area. It ended up winning 1st place and best in class at the 2010 Hobby Town Model Competition.

The Ghost is from Wyrd, the cleric from Reaper, and the little girl from Privateer Press. The cleric's armor was my first real attempt at NMM. It's not great, but it's pretty good.

I like them both.. Especially the 2nd one. Great story!

The wolfen is very gritty. I like the reds too. Spend more time shading the metallics and add some sharp highlights on the wep.

Good job!

Well the diorama is miniatures story telling at its best.
Good planned interaction between the main protagonists.
However; a caveat:- The base of the Ghost is too flat and catches the eye in a slightly unbalanced way.
I'd have to suggest that a few feathery strands of cloth floating down would have given the ghost a bit more of an impact.

Yeah, I wish I had thought of that- I see now how much of a difference that would have made.

Thanks for the compliment :)
