A Crimson Fist

Well this one is one i\'m doing for my local hobby store. I recently bought a set of the GW foundation paints so i\'ve given a few of them a go here, the set has some nice shades and the paint covers really well the only downside i\'ve found so far is that they don\'t taste very nice.
I was thinking of doing this one as a copy of the GW paint scheme but I had a look at it and did\'nt really like it that much, the yellow seemed to bright and the fists were\'nt even crimson .

Thats not a crimson fist my friend, its an imperial fist, usual colour scheme is yellow and black

Crimson fists are dark blue with.... crimson fists:drunk:

apart from colour issue im loving the feel of the model, have you painted the legs so they have lighting on them, cause they seem darker near the base if so its flawless really like it

BT, if you could up the gamma correction on your photo that would help a lot.
It\'s dark, but the blending looks excelent.

Well, apart from small pic probleme, the mini itself looks really nice. Especially considering that yellow is such a b*tch to do.

@Yetie - well when i did the highlighting I imagined the light coming from a certain direction so I have tryed to do some areas darker to account for this.

@Vincegamer- I\'m going to have to fiddle about with my photos abit again, I don\'t have the editing program I once did so have to use a much simplier one.

@Frechkid - Yes normally yellows are real pain and take many layers to get a good finish but I used the foundation paints for that part and it pretty much took just one coat.

Yeah that one is for Krackers, I have a few spacemarines to do for them at the moment. I let them borrow my small High Elf army for awhile aswell (painted quite awhile ago now), so my Dragon I did is in the cabinet at the moment, so go take a look if you have the chance.

Try downloading Gimp if you don\'t already have it, its free and the photo editing is very good - it has alot of options available that you would normally see in software you have to pay for.

Ive also noticed the foundations not tasting all that nice.

I was trying out some various colour mixes for deathwing (now with 6 land raiders and 4 dreadnoughts to paint in it, in a mixed colour), and I noticed that the tau sept ocher is, well, horrible.

But a small dash of vanilla cleared that right up.lol
