Guys, seriously? We're picking at the fact that the 40K univers uses rangefinders? Y'know what I find MORE insulting in the 40K universe? Swords. After 40,000 years they've gone back to re-invent the sword. Or worse! The power fist. Because punching needed a technological boost! Seriously! Imagine graduating top of your class from the school of weapons development and then you find out you get assigned to "Project: Uppercut" the new age in punching technology.
