A Feast for Crows is done! ^_^

It looks like Mr George R.R. Martin has finished the next book A Feast For Crows, in his on going series A Song of Ice and Fire. It looks like the story was so long that he had to break it into 2 books the senond is A Dance With Dragons and will deal with the vents in the East and the North, while A Feast For Crows will be on Westeros, King\'s Landing, the riverlands, Dorne, and the Iron Islands and more. It also looks like A Dance With Dragons is half done.

Oh happy days. :D :flip::bouncy::flip:

Great news! I checked amazon.com and they list July 26 as the release date - not sure how accurate that is, but I am sure it will be soon!

That was the release date that I saw at Waldenbooks. One can hope that that is it.

I also saw that Book 11 of the Wheel of Time is comming out soon. Hopefully it will be good. The last few have been disapointing.

Great, maybe he should change his name to George R. R.obert Jordan. Didn\'t Robert Jordan originally intend to only have his series be 5 or 6 books(GRRM now mentions seven)? And isn\'t it a Jordan tactic to have characters disappear for books at a time? Well hopefully his writing won\'t go down the crapper like Jordan\'s did(starting in or slightly after book five).

I need caffeine.

I agree... I was a total WoT fan... until around after book 5... I still read... but I haven\'t been able to force myself to finish yet, (assuming I\'m ever able to finish)

I haven\'t read any Martin yet, But I actually intended on starting the series after I knocked out my summer reading...

Same here!! I stopped at book 4 or 5 and I refuse to read any more until they are all done. Grumb still reads them, but after the last one he threw it across the room he was so pissed that Jordan didn\'t tie up loose-ends. I don\'t need that kind of stress! lol

I think I\'m on... book #7

I need to re-read them if I\'m going to continue... I haven\'t read any of them in 3 or 4 years

Its November 8th now? Arrrgggg! :mad::D Oh well.

I have read all of the WoT series except the prequel one. I think that I will have to wait to get #11 once it is out in paperback.

I refuse to read any of these never-ending fantasy series. :mad: If it\'s more than three books, forget about it! If you need that many books to tell your story, maybe it wasn\'t such a good story to begin with? :] All this according to my own humble opinion, of course... :)

I don\'t know if I ever will go back and read the whole series when he\'s done. I remember thinking halfway through the 2nd one (or beginning of the third) that I should\'ve kept notes so I could keep track of everyone! lol

I just don\'t have that kind of time these days!

The one exception to my abstention from multiple fiction volumes was the Amber series by Roger Zelazny. But, those were slim fast paced volumes. Lots of time to wait for all 10 though. But now he\'s passed and the saga is complete.

Normally I would agree, but with Martin I find myself so into what is going to happen next, I finish the books pretty quickly. Plus it has been several years since the last one. I suppose if I was just starting a series that had 10 books in it, like it sounds like Jordan has, I would be a bit daunted as well. There have been several series I have started but stopped after the first or second book, so a series really has to grab me to keep me going.

I love reading but each of Jordan\'s books was so huge I was never tempted. With non-fiction I am like a hobbit: paraphrasing Tolkien: They loved lerge books full of facts and figures set out fair and square with no contradiction.

november 8th! thats my birthday!:D i will be 18...

there is a card game based on this book series and is called a game of thrones (ironically), and is made by fantasy flight games. it is very good. you all should try it sometime.
