Nice, I always love your basework. How did you accomplish these bases?

thanks scott :)
it was grey pumice by vallejo (the medium grade stuff) with pale sand (vallejo) mixed in.

then a wash of an slightly brown orange, follwed by charred brown (very similar to scorched brown)
finished with a dry brush of ivory.

the grass is siflor with a cobra brown wash (similar to snakebite)
then a dry brush of khaki, followed by a very light dry brush of ivory.

hope that helps.

THREADJACK!

What do you guys use to glue your silfor onto the bases? I pickep up some Zap-a-goo but it leaves a really crappy looking sheen, superglue doesn\'t work, white/PVA glue takes to long and doesn\'t work unless the surface is very level. I give up!

Baluchi warriors.

@scott, you don\'t need to glue siflor mate, it has a sticky adhesive already on it, just pluck off the shhet with tweezrs and push into place. ( iw ould laugh but i used to use super glue to put it in place  )

Hmm, I am usually putting mine on heavily textured sand covered bases and I get NO adhesion from mine. Still, I\'ll give it another go! TY

Ah man, they\'re awesome! In the UK I think Antenocetti\'s workshop is the place to get it. I got no linky tech for you, as my distributor is from the states.

Really top notch product Starchaser. Maker sure you buy the longest stuff available (6mm tufts I think) as the other stuff is fine at 15mm and so but not worth the extra cost vs. traditional static grass at 28mm IMO.

Post some mini\'s dude!

edit- Damn your quick Chris!

Great stuff.
Nice colours and atmosphere to these paintjobs. A really nice and inspireing alternative to all the Fantasy and SF stuff we usually paint. I too really love the bases.

Thanks for sharing.
