a green xmas ..... or not ?

Well its my lucky day, just been given 3 space ork Army deals!

So I was thinking about skin colours....

Should I paint them the normal skin colour of green, or would it work if I pushed the boat out and did something different ?

So....

do you have any pics of different painted orks, or what colours do you think would work ?

( busy trying to paint one up in human skin colours, not sure if it works or not.

paint them in browns and greys.
tolkiens orcs are far more interesting and diverse than gw\'s fungus boys.

don\'t paint something in colours that you are told to do so unless you (or the customer) wants it that way.

be creative and use other inspiration instead of following what everyone else is doing.

Go for a red one! Bit of a demon heritage. Dunno. Its different.

My first impulse was purple, but I don\'t expect you to actually do that!

I know you don\'t want green but what about trying what you have above but with using some dark green washes to help give it a different green tinge, though i like the idea they look more like mutant humans than humanoid space aliens to me.
