A morbid fascination with people\'s tastes in music.

No we don\'t! Except for those crazy folks from Cali! :p Just kidding!

I notice that the folks from the Pacific Northwest have pretty similiar tastes. :D Maybe it has to do with the weather.

I voted rock, but I guess I like good music, no matter it\'s type.
My favorite band is probably Radiohead, but lately I\'ve been listening a lot to Damien Rice and Rufus Wainwright.
I love good songwriters.

C\'mon, a little Cryptopsy, Bolt Thrower or Bathory is good for one on occasion.

\"GRUNT, GRUNT GRUNT GRUNT GRUNT! GRUNT GRUNT GRUNT, GRUNT GRUNT!\" - it\'s like poetry if the Id.

/likes Sarah McLachlan too

A term I heard for recent heavy metal vocals: Cookie Monster vocals.

I like almost anything but most opera, country and most rap...with a few exceptions.

I have to add Jazz to my list though. Not that lame \"light jazz\" either. It\'s got to be ballads from the 30\'s-40\'s or Cool Jazz from the 50\'s-60\'s, or newer Jazz with those influences.
Also, Franz Ferdinand is one of my new favorites too.
We\'ve also been listening to the soundtracks to the LOTR movies, O Brother Where Art Thou, Alias and La Femme Nikita.
I like Chemical Brothers when working on bases. :)
There really is no genre that I don\'t like.

I am also like some of the old school jazz. The LOTR soundtracks are awsome. The O brother Where art Thou is probably the only Blue Grass that I would listen to.

Who is Franz Ferdinand?

Mostly breaks and hip-hop at the moment. Lots of Cutmaster Swift, Scratch Perverts, Invisibl Scratch Picklz, Q-Bert, Tony Vegas etc.
Just got a swanky new Vestax mixer with a hamster switch, so I\'ve been annoying the woman with my piss poor attempts at replicating their escapades!

Lots of other stuff as well though. Too much really. I have a sizeable record collection.....:D

Music

It seems that recently I\'ve developed a taste for music that I can\'t find readily here in the States. I\'ve gotten a liking for some anime soundtracks, so much so, that I can now sing some songs in Japanese, although I have no idea what I\'m saying.

Also, there\'s two European groups I\'m fond of that I have to scour eBay for their CD\'s since they\'re not carried by local music shops. Has anyone over there in Europe ever heard of a Norwegian band called Bel Canto or another called Lunik (I\'m not sure of their nationality- maybe German or Austrian)?

If you could get me some of their CD\'s I\'d much appreciate it!

:D

I\'m in love with old vinyl. I have three record players around the house. We have all Jethro Tull stuff on vinyl.

@Drake...You must listen to Franz Ferdinand.
@Equus...I said dancing and drinking...well, that is dangerous, especially if it\'s Irish dancing!!
and....Cookie Monster rocks!!!
lollol
