A pair of Kommandos...

Getting there, although the latest one did get slightly rushed towards the end - I got to that point when I just couldn\'t put the damn brush down, and just was wanting to paint and paint and paint!

Still not confident about doing anything other that your bog-standard base at the moment, nor am I going to touch that Kommando boss figure until the other two Kommandos are finished!

Did the vote thing. These look really good! I love the new kommandos, although I painted the nob first because I could\'nt wait to paint one of the new sculpts. I suppose you could use the leverage of \"I won\'t paint the big guy until I\'m done with the little guys\" as incentive to do those too :)

As far as the bases go, I do a sand/grassy mix since I use all of my minis for gaming, not just display. If these bases match a current army \"theme\" then you\'re alright point wise (I would think).

Lookin\' good - keep it up. And don\'t be afraid of the big guy, if you don\'t like what you did - jsut dip\'em and start over!

I like these guys - in particular the green you have used. Not that ghastly uber bright green that I have seen on too many models ;)

There is a lot of metallic on these models and to break it up a bit, try using a colour other than black to shade it. Brown works very nicely and gives it a rusty feel - even a nice brown/black mix can warm the metal a little. Nice work and good luck with the Boss! :D

Thanks for the advice - half done the other two, and will give other metal colours a go!

As an aside, that Kroot you\'ve done is just brilliant - after I get these orks out of the way, I might just pick up a couple and see what I can do myself!

Ah yes the Kroot - he was lovely to paint :D I\'d wanted to do one for a while because I really like them as a race, but I didn\'t want to buy a whole box - I\'m a cheap-skate ;) Then a friend gave me a sprue and I was off...! I have a Krootox lurking on my painting table too ;)

If you can get your hands on one, have a go yourself :)

Looking forward to seeing your other two commandos, oh and the boss of course :D
