À Paris!

Bonjour!

Merci!
:)

Your French is better than my Russian !

Come to think of it, I don\'t speak Russian... :p

The best place to buy such stuff would be Starplayer. Its adress is 16, rue Lagrange, in the 5th arrondissement. Closest metro station is Maubert-Mutualité. It\'s open every day from 10:30 am to 7:50 pm, (7:00 on saturdays) except on sundays.

Mind you, Vallejo paints are called Prince August around here. They have all the Rackham minis, plus them Ilyad Games thingies, and a whole lot of other stuff. Also, they carry Cry Havoc and Harbinger !

Hell, once you\'re in Paris I could even show you to the place in the flesh. Drinks are on me. Unless you\'re English, in which case I\'m afraid I won\'t have enough money for all the pints you\'ll down. lol

Don\'t worry, I\'m swedish and we mostly drink hard liquor  Even though I prefer beer, and lots of it!
Anyways, I\'m going there with my mother so you\'d have to buy her red wine :D No more than one glass though, she gets drunk really easy ;)

Be flattered.

Just be glad you aren\'t hanging with an Australian. My Australian mates can easily out drink a Celt, and wake up the next day ready to play a serious game of rugby or SCA combat. Best lot you can hang with, but drinking with them is dangerous. *grin and wink*

I swear, these chaps were weaned at the pub...

aaaah, how does a decent Celt end up in sunny cali?

My family started out in Indentured Servitude prior to the War of Independence, then sh*gged their way across the US until I reached California in 1989. Quite a lot of family history, but we keep to our Celtic roots quite strongly. (I\'ll be wearing my family tartan as I fly to Chicago to cover GDChicago for EO.)

and grats on your 50th

Thanks!

(Je parle en francais aussi. Il doit être mon Normand héritage de mon clan de Comyns. Je suis une énigme, non?)

I drove there....

So I drive to the location you suggested, and I didn\'t see anything other than nondescript buildings and a few mimes.....

Maybe my copy of \"X-BOX\'s Midtown Madness 3\" is missing that part of it...
lol Oh well, I can still crash into the Arc De Triumph with my PT Cruiser....

...and who reckoned he could drink me under the table...ended up having to take three days off work:D

It was his own fault..firstly it was him that got all competitive and secondly, it was his idea that we swapped drinks. I was to quaff lager and he would drink my \'effeminate warm beer\'.lol

I think I was on \'Theakston\'s Old Peculiar\' at the time. He wont make that mistake again:flip:

One more:
L’Oeuf cube , 24, rue Linné F-75005 Paris

Note, Starplayer, the Jeux descartes in the rue des ecoles and L\'oeuf cube are more and less in the same area. It\'s been a while since I\'ve been there but last time L\'Oeuf cube and starplayer also had second hand stuff and Jeux descartes (cellar - wacht your head) had a lot of different brands in the showcases.
The three Jeux Descartes stores do not all carry the same range so it could be interesting to see all three.
