A question of etiquette

So, I have an etiquette question here. I painted this a while a go with the intention of a painted mini exchange:

I painted it up and offered to exchange it with another hobbyist. I contacted the other person and got no reply. I tried several times, in fact - both on their blog and via email. Still no reply. At this point I have to assume they have no interest. It has been several months now. I'm in the clear to do with this piece as I will now, right? I only ask because I want to have a clear conscience should they contact me later asking about the piece after I have decided to keep/ sell/ give it away.

Cheers gang,
Zab

Yeah, I say you're fine doing something else with it. If you want, you can send them once last email saying something like "I never heard back from you, so I assume you're no longer interested in the exchange. If you are, please let me know in the next __ days or I will find another home for the figure." That way the other person really has nothing to complain about if they ever do get back to you.

Dude I am workign on the Dwarves really! Oh uh that mini exchange. Uh yeah I don't know, I guess what Bailey said. Some people do take a very loooong time with their projects.

:ahem:

Heh heh heh.

Well, since they aren't getting back to you, they are either a) dead, 2) really busy, or III) feeling really bad about it and not knowing what to say. I have some friends that do that last thing a lot, it is incredibly annoying. Either way, doing what Bailey said should cover you.

Thanks gang! Demi I'm not pressuring you or Canny - it's not a race (but if i was i would have won :p ) This one has been 6 months with no reply, but several updates to their blog so I feel like they are just ignoring me. I'll continue to be polite and send one last email :)

If there's anything wrong its with the other persons lack of spine, they should have the manners to say "no thanks matey" .
