they usually start to advertise in the mag a few months before, it\'s worth buying the advance tickets too, when they are available

Indeed lovely models. Degra has just posted up one of the future releases he has sculpted, Humpty Dumpty http://www.coolminiornot.com/217793

By the time I got to their stand I couldn\'t afford anything :( But the one I would have wanted, the girls with the dragon wrapped around here, wasn\'t available anyway.

I guess we will see plenty of Smart Max minis at nest years salute in the painting comp:D

Got hmpty dumpty and the dragon chaser... as well as being handed the zombie billboard carrier to paint for squidders and that there DR somebody and......... don\'t tell the missus........
the qualiy of the kits is indeed fantastic and as Adie quite rightly says a big breath of fresh air.

Just shows you how out of touch i amlol

Maybe she was just sold out then.

Yeah she seemed popular and at £44 was surprising it was going so fast......
I have a feelng those guys ate and drank well Saturday night.

Wonderful, wonderful figures. Lovely to see the beautifully painted display pieces they had too!

I had a little chat to one of the guys there - Salute was their first day of selling the figures anywhere! Which made me feel rather happy to be helping to fund more fantastically original figures.

And they got the John Blanche seal of approval too - or at least his money :D

I bagged a couple of them - Jonathon Crow and some lady with a russian sounding name. I just couldn\'t quite justify the lady and the dragon though :(

Really? That makes me feel much better! I thought I\'d somehow overlooked them.

I have dragon/lady and wolfie. I just couldn\'t resist! Needless to say, it rather put a crimp on the rest of my spending but I don\'t regret it for a moment.

Was I seeing things, or did they have a clockwork nazi-ish figure? I can\'t remember, but if they do, I might get it and paint it for the other half once I\'ve saved up a bit! I have other projects to do for him in the meantime.

wolf is next for me. i got poitr (the zombie), jeremiah (dude with gas mask on and top hat in hand) and von kardsten (nazi guy with gas mask face and bionic hand)

great detail and quality casting. they also fit together so well, which is a nice change of pace having started on my gamezone stuff...

The Smart Max stuff is ace, picked up the Elephant man, and the way it fits together is nothing short of genius.

Then Laura ninja\'d off with the last of our cash and bought me the sandwich board figure which I didn\'t find out about till back at the hotel.

Insanely good models!

Peace and love...

Yep Wallet emptying madness.
Picked up the Humpty Dumpty, Valeriy Zeitev (neat tribute by the way) and the girl from the Dragon summoner set.

Much as I wanted it I couldn\'t justify the £44 notes for the figure as I had stuff to get for a Very Special Commission.
My long suffering wife took one look at the Humpty Dumpty on Sunday and went.......\"Oh Sh*t that\'s nice!\".

There are shots of the pieces Angel painted on his blog that may help with putting together, http://studiogiraldez.blogspot.com/search/label/Smart%20Max I have Mr Honk and the Wolf (both by Carasco) and was given some sneak info on their next piece which will be a crocodile headed gentleman. I have to build a nice big steampunk board for these guys.

Ok a couple of questions, as I dint get to talk to the guys.

Is this going to be a game?

And secondly, is there anywhere in the UK, that we can buy these?
