ahoy, ahoy m8s!

I often vote and sometimes comment when I see something cool here on coolmini. Usually \"that looks cool\" or \"Good job\". Even though I try to be positive I thought I should post something, in the interest of fairness. Everyone else is sticking their neck out.

Anyway this is not a painting competition mini. In fact the Macro lense revealed alot of flaws which my eyesight does not.

This is a conversion warhammer orc (plastic) from games workshop. It is one of my favorite conversions.

The reason I am showing it to you is because of the trailing bandana which I made out of twist-ties which i painted and then soaked in wood glue (epoxy) before wraping them around his head. Then I filled in the holes with testers black enamel and elmers glue. this was about 2 years ago and at the time the goal was to do conversions with household items.

I also made a saddle for a dragon so a knight mini could \'ride\' it. It was highly functional but didnt look like a proper saddle to me.

The bandanna looks great. I have used paper on a model myself. There are so many \'normal\' things that can be incorporated in sculpting. It\'s hard to tell from the photo but it seems that the wire running down the middle of the twist tie shows. Might try simply using a piece of paper.
