Hit me hard boys. :moneymouth:
I'd be happy for your honest comments, critics and tips are so welcome (it's the only way to improve)

Here are some pics of my space wolves.

As stated in the beginning of the thread. I really like your comments and ideas of how to make them nicer.
Painting techniques, color choices and what ever... :fingers-crossed:

Well, overall they look good but they lack a little depth. An easy way to achieve this to give them a coat of varnish and then apply a heavily thinned coat of black ink. Best would be even to give them a wash of thinned black oil paint as it is 100x better for wash-detailing than acrylic inks.

For the wolfie... the eye needs some outlining and the pupil should be bigger I think, now it has more of a feline look.

Welcome, Carsen. Overall these aren't bad. Just a few things.

Your marines' eyes have a look of being either scared or confused. If you're having a hard time with eyes - and they are one of the most difficult aspects of miniature painting, at least for me they are - then try simply painting the eye sockets a flesh color and then going over them with either an acrylic ink or, as Meph suggested, a black oil paint. It will provide the illusion your looking for. As you gain experience you'll be able to start painting in the eyeballs. Just remember, the white should be slim, with a small line of flesh surrounding them, and the irises shouldn't just be a circle in the middle (that's what creates the surprised look), but should touch the top and bottom of the eyeball. It should almost look like the top and bottom of the iris is cut off by the flesh surrounding the eyeball. I hope that makes sense.

Looks like you're using line highlighting for the armor. Not too bad, but would try and tidy up the lines a bit; make them a little sharper.

Your Ulric looks wonderful. Great color choices; the fur cloak is highlighted and shaded well; the plasma pistol is clean with some nice gradation of color around the barrel (though a treatment of ink would soften everything and further the color transition); and the bone looks very nice.

Keep happy painting.

Also drill out the barrels of the weapons with a pin vice for that added level of attention to detail.

Meph, GTherk, Bloodhowl. Guys.... Thank you for the great advices. :good:
I really appreciate this. So far I've had dificulties finding a place where I can get proper advices and not only 'good job', 'nice' etc. If the rest of the board is just as good at giving constructive criticism I'll stay here for sure and post some pics as my collection of model grows.

Meph: I'll do that.
GTherk: I'll try out your suggestions. The good thing with collecting W40k Space Wolves is that you get 'a few' extra heads. They'll be good practice material.
Bloodhowl: Time to fetch a small drill, I guess..

:fingers-crossed:

Again thank you, and I'll see you guys around.
