A Thumb...

I suffer from something I am sure the best and worst here have suffered alike. I glue my thumb to mini\'s like it is going out of style. Fortunatly I have never done it with a painted mini (cross fingers, knock on wood et al).

Anyway, I was thinking that there would be some irony in a multi-part pewter kit that would need super glueing, of a thumb. Some little parts that get stuck to your thumb and fingers rather then the kit, and some big flat bits that can\'t be pinned and slide around too no end.

Ahhh just me venting, maybe I should just putty everything and skip the glue altogether.

But what category would it be under? Actually, I kinda like the idea of casting ones thumb - you could even put up thumbnail wips. :D

Cast your thumb in plaster, then paint it. Only one part, and it\'s bound to get a better score than \"Talon of Roc\".
Am I the only one who\'s actually thought that this might be fun to do?

It might not be to bad Mike - but would you paint it as just a thumb, or would you do some conversion work to it ?

make a bunch of them....

then you could say \"oh, I am all thumbs\"

Paint one green for your \"green thumb\"

one could face up, the other down, an easy way to give your approval or disapproval.

Thumbody stop me please.....

Actually I was thinking an interesting diorama could be a hand or thumb and a few fingers, with a painted mini glued to the thumb, have the mini, like a gobbo or something, either pointing and laughing at the artist, or perhaps upset or screaming in pain......

Is this topic restricted or can a non-coffin dodger get his say in?

I\'d suggest switching your watery superglue for a gel type. Holds just as well as any other superglue but doesn\'t get everywhere. I\'ve used it well, but and that\'s saying alot for someone who has two entirely converted armies, and a third one on the way (not that their well painted, just converted).

The day I moved away from watery superglue was the day I found nearly two whole models glued to my socks!
