Well I don\'t know about you lot but I was having a whale of a time the other night.....
....doing this

I have to put each batch through 3 times before I get to an acceptable level of seperation \'leaves\'/seeds

Here\'s the back end of the Paragon Leaf Sorter Mk6, I\'m probably on about Mk12 now, keep tweeking it every time I use it

the box nearest is full of seeds, under the tube is the \'leaves\'
it still beats sorting them by hand thats for sure

Sorting the seed from the chaff. Neat idea, mick! For LP; the seeds are heavier than their coatings, so the seed and chaff get separated by the wind.

I\'ve got it working pretty well now, when I\'m finally happy with how it\'s working I\'ll make a more permanent machine from ply or MDF.
Then all I need to invent is an auto-feed hopper, so I can just fill it up and get a coffee.lol

Does this make me a Mad Scientist or just a Nutty Professor? (I\'m asking for it really aren\'t I?)

Though I some how get the feeling this isnt the first time you have sorted leaves from seeds lol

Nice contraption..I take it these are the same as the leaves Hudson and Allen sell as forest litter?

about now Mark, I almost forgot about them, and left it a bit late really should have started \'harvesting\' nearer the start of Sept. But I think I\'ve been lucky with the reasonably mild weather down here, probably only got about 2-3 weeks left for collecting them now tho\'
The problem is finding a tree I can reach, (I get enough funny looks without carting a pair of steps about) with enough on it that isn\'t in somebodies garden. And not too near a busy road, 1 it blackens the \'pods\' and 2 I\'m not gonna be a road kill just for some seeds
