Why when posting a URL do you put it in the box, hit OK and have to do it again for it to work? Yet when posting a picture you only have to do it once?

Why when doing any modifyer - colors, bold, size etc in a post - does it automatically go to the bottom of the page?

This is important stuff! Would Al Gore know?

When you post a picture you post the link to the pic and the actual picture shows.

When you post an URL firstly you put the URL in then you give it a name. I\'m guessing that it is to stop stupidly large URL addresses being included in a post.

don\'t know why with the other bit, all I know it\'s annoying

Yeah, I think the forum html code could be updated. I\'ve gotten used to it, but it is still kind of a pain.

What Talion said except it\'s the other way around. You type the text you want the link to appear as in the first box and then the actual address for the link in the second. It\'s caught me out on more than one occasion as it seems more logical to me to put the link in first and then say what you want it to appear as but that\'s another of life\'s little mysteries I suppose.

I don\'t use the buttons, I just type the HTML myself, so I don\'t get that happening to me

Instead of typing the URL (or hitting Control-V), type what you want the link to say - like \"Linky\" or \"Click Here\". Then drop in the URL address.

So you get something like this:
Link to this thread, click here....

That happened to me between the ages of 8 and 10 when I was reading a \"Choose your own adventure\" and I got lost in a maze. I kept flipping between pages 76 and 23.

You gotta watch for those loops! How many people have lost precious informative years of their lives stuck in the temporal casaulity loop?

To be honest, I don\'t believe a single thing that Al Gore says anymore, not since the manbearpig incident!

I wish links were more obvious. Being a slightly different shade of gray from the rest of the text is not consistent with the way links stand out on most other web pages. I usually add underlining but it is kind of a pain because you have to add the tags manually.

If you use the \"Muted Gray\" Theme, you get a bit of a better standout for links.
And the \"Coolmini\" theme makes them really stand out.

Ditto. I like to put some sort of break - link - to signify that there \'s something different there. I usually have to resort to \'minesweeping\' with the cursor to see what \'activates\'.

my screen is blue (ish) and the links are some sort of bright orange. i\'m not sure (i\'m colour blind) but they DO stick out
