A Yeti you can sink your teeth into

He\'s GIANT!

I think he goes for about 25 bucks.

I think he came with a 50mm base, but even on that he looks a bit awkward...

Then don\'t do it.
My understanding from the boards, though I haven\'t done it myself, is that if you have a bad cast, Reaper has a great policy - just mail it to them and they\'ll send you a good cast to replace it.

Oh yeah...that is true...or at least at one time it was.

Some time ago I had a miscast of a figure and I e-mailed and asked what to do. The guy happily sent me a new one, and allowed me to keep the miscast...

from here, it looks like he\'d need at least a 70mm base to stand on comfortably, and have a bit of space eitherside each foot, a 50mm would surely be unsuitable ???

then again, is there anywhere that sells 70 or 80mm bases?

Maybe I\'ve misjudged the size...

Its about this big *gesturing with hands*

Its at home, and I am not...

I could take a quick pic of his legs on the base if you\'d like, once I get home.

Even taking it back to the LGS, the LGS should be able to return it to Reaper for credit. Reaper has a reputation to uphold and I think they can afford returns if their casting is bad. It benefits them in that they are made aware of problems, and they can improve their rep. If they are screwing up a bunch, then maybe they need shaking up anyway.
Pity GW doesn\'t try this approach.
My local store\'s pretty good letting me search for the bast castings on the rack.
But the overall casting quality is damaged by the Volume ofver Quality issue.

AOL CD\'s anyone?
Or does that just happen over in the UK?

Sorry for the double post Can\'t cut & paste on this machine, I\'m using a temporary system.

Did someone say Yeti?

Someone on the Blood Bowl board I follow just sculpted this guy up -- the guy\'s first-ever sculpt -- to be the Snow Troll star player for the Norse team:

It looks like he\'s trying to get it cast up, but we\'re still waiting for all those details.

The problem with that is then you are basically \"sticking it\" to the little guy.

Oke I know Vincegamer ment sending back to Reaper... but for me sending it back the stamp costs as much as the figure... The Netherlands to USA... not really close or conventient ... and no LGS\'s in The Netherlands unless you look at GW.

And in the case of this store I absolutely do not wish to \"stick it to the little man\" (Wyvern Games in The USA). They were absolutely great and I am nothing but good words for them. (Definatly a place I\'d shop again) They were generous and very kind. So I\'ll definatly chose to just take the \"miscast\" and leave it at that. I\'m pretty damn sure if they had spotted it they wouldn\'t have send me this one. And pretty certain they would replace it if I asked.. I\'m not gonna, don\'t even want too. The rest of the figures didn\'t have any problems.
... Just wanted to leave a \"check-this-if-you-can-before-Buying-possible-problem-spot-area\"-warning for the figure.

You might try emailing a picture of the miscast miniature with the information about your being overseas and that postage costs would be expensive. Im betting they might send you a new one. I also think that some of the reaper miniatures might be cast under license in england..anyone know if this is true? if so they might be able to replace the miniature.

as a follow up..heres Reapers agent in the UK..they should beable to replace your miniature.

Except that the head looks a bit large to me that is a perfect sculpt!

I wish I could do chain like that, anyone know a good tutorial?

I finally found out how to do chainmail thanks to a recent WD article, now I just need plain old chain.

Back to the Subject at hand...

These have always been some of my favorite Yetis, done by Copplestone Castings...

I\'ve had them on my \'must get\' list for a few years now....

If anyone has them and would like to trade, or has access to getting these easily, let me know!!
