Well I was hunting around for a pic to use as my new avatar when I came across this old photo and thought I would share it.It certainly sums me up in one photo.
I\'m the one on the right btw,and am considerabely older now.

I also thought ,as the post your pic thread is still so popular, that others could contribute thier youthfull looks.

Keep the filesize low for dial ups would be nice ,,,and of course it goes without saying keep things decent where pics of kids are concerned.

awwww, you\'re such a cute little girl Anja!

(I was going to say you\'re such a cute little boy Klute...but I figured that may not go over as well...)

I\'ll dig up something when I get home...I really need to get a current photo of me as well, to stick on the pyp thread.

Yup! Digging up this \"old\" thread :)

Klute,
Thought this thread was a good idea back when you started it, but didn\'t have anything to post then. Now, having been going through my father\'s things, I came up with one so I thought I\'d post it.

Yes, I\'m old. This photo was from back when there was no color in the world. Color hadn\'t been invented yet, let alone a way to capture it on film :D And NO! That\'s not me in the cute little frock ;) I\'m the little one.

BTW, is that a 1955 Ford station wagon?

You have a good eye, Vince! Well... half a good eye. :D That IS a 1955 Ford station wagon. However, Mom\'s NOT holding a rifle That\'s a hoe. And no ebonics references here:eek: I mean, she\'s holding a garden implement used for weeding and such. ;) I mean, yes, it\'s my mother, not a ho\', but no, sh\'es not holding a rifle, she\'s holding a hoe. OH! Never mind!

Nice picture, VIkey lol Taken on the sperm of the moment, was it?

We\'re all glad to know that is not a ho hoding a hoe.

How many rows would a hoe hoding ho hoe if a ho hoding a hoe could hoe a row?

Ho Ho Ho!lol

So what happened to that Ford?

Old ones eh?

This is my personal favourite. It\'s a crap photo, but I think the crapness is part of the package:D

Circa 1975/6 I got bored one day and decided I\'d hitch hike somewhere...I ended up in Paris (as you do) and was having a whale of a time when a young lady, horrified that I was alone and did not speak French, took pity on me and insisted that I should crash at her place. (In actual fact I had reasonable amount of funds on my person - I am not entirely stupid - but the point of the exercise was not to spend any :D....this was the 70\'s remember). I was delighted therefore to be smuggled into her room, she worked in a hotel, and treated to a hot bath and a good meal. Next day, she couldn\'t believe that I was heating up soup on a primus and drinking wine from the bottle and took this snap.

It reminds me of a great period in my youth and I always feel humbled by the memory of the generosity of a relatively poor person who (mistakenly) thought another was in need. I\'d like to think she appreciated the flowers I left in her room. Although she probably thought that I had nicked them:flip:

I\'m having a hard time believing that\'s real. I mean, you expect us to believe you had washboard abs?
Oh, wait, it must be in France, there\'s a baguette in the picture!

@vince - unfortunately, the Ford went on to finish 2nd place in a demolition derby somewhere around 1962 or 3 if I remember correctly.

@Finn - at the risk of sounding horribly ignorant (nothing all that new for me) exactly how did one hitchike from England to Paris? The Chunnel wasn\'t open then yet, was it ???

@ Vince: French loaf and wine.....and those abs were just the ones I was born with...years before I got into serious weight training. Unfortunately, now, I am just another \'Homer\' :D

@ Dauber: I got a lift with this really flash guy in a BMW, he was a sales exec for a firm based in Paris that sold dentists tools/equipment, I told him that I was just having \'an explore\' and he dared me to cross the channel with him and go to Paris. How could I refuse...???

I appreciate that in today\'s climate that sounds suspicious, but he was a really just a nice guy who was seemingly impressed by juvenile bravado and probably wished he could do the same instead of going to some stuffy conference...
