Aaaargh...can\'t.....paint

Oh man, this is getting annoying, for the last week or so I\'ve been having problems with the joints in my fingers, they\'re all stiff and generally not good, so I can\'t paint, especially as I think that may have been what caused it :(, all those models are staring longingly at me from my desk.

I think it\'s getting better, although I\'ve got a doctors appointment for it later in the week. But now I\'ve just managed to slam the front door on them :(

Aaaaaaargh. No fair

You have my sympathy.

My back is absolutely killing me at the moment (well not literally). Managed to strain it whilst at work at the weekend and sitting painting at my desk really hurts at the moment...

Epedemic...

It must be an epedemic going around the Mini community - my back is also killing me and I have no idea how I put it out! - I tend to have dreams that make me act out violently..... maybe I kicked out in the night and wrenched my back! DOH!... painting is on hold... my sympathy to you both :(

Sympathies all round, its such a pain to (finally) have the time to do some fun, fancy models, and not be able to get started

*drowns his sorrows in cheap wine*

My legs seize up with sitting on my arse all day (painting, not loafing!) and my shoulders can get a bit stiff sometimes with leaning over my work table (well, trolly). Who\'d have thought mini painting would be so damaging to the human body?!

it\'s a common problem when you\'re bent over a desk all day. I got the same thing with the muscles of my legs, i just go for a walk round about lunchtimes to get some life back into them.

CMON Aerobics....

ok...I\'m up for the job as fitness instructor. Altogether now....

Grab that paint pot and open and close, open and close... 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 Ok no cheating - I want people to use those nasty GW paint pots - this is an advanced class remember! :D

Ok..now mop up that spilt paint. Nice smooth sweeping motions in time to the music (u do hear the music right?) - left and right and up and down...... EXCELLENT!

ok, now reach for those boxes of unpainted minis.....that\'s it.... stretch. Loverly!!

Right, that\'s it for the day. Remember to do your cooling down exercises - 3 quick forum posts, followed by 5 minutes of gentle voting....

Have any of you ever tried painting in a reclining chair? Put on an old shirt and have your paints etc on a table beside you. I admit I\'ve never tried this but I do often worry that sitting hunched over my painting table is not good for the vertebrae (my solution is to take frequent breaks and get up). I know this won\'t help KingM, sorry buddy.

On a more serious note....

Hey KingM, have you tried Glucosomine? Apparently they are excellent for joint problems. My Mum has recently been diagnosed with Rhumatiod Athritus (crap spelling :( ) and her specialist said they were great. She want\'s me to start taking them, \'cos its hereditory but they are quite expensive. Holland & Barrett have a super dupa sale on at the moment - so they are 60% off :D

Hope that helps :D

Hey my dog\'s just been put on those by her vet. (She\'s got a Periosteal condition in her front paws.....Bony growths making it difficult to walk.) Marked inprovement in a couple of days, so I hope that they work as well on your mum.

I take a Glucosomine/Chondroitin combo because over my younger years I thoroughly trashed my knee. It\'s done wonders! I highly recommend it to anyone with joint pains.

Ah.....

Well done Dauber - I was trying to remember the other part that went with the Glucosomine and you got it in one. Thanks.

@ Dragonsreach - yup, one of Mum\'s Labs is on it too as prescribed by the vet. We are just one happy Glucosomine family :D lol Glad to hear your Woofer is doing well. :D
