Basically, the lower armatures are really just for grabbing so the beast can pummel what it catches at close range. They can retract into the body however and don\'t have to be out all of the time. Klute... you definately have a good point on the multiple arms.
This now leaves the remaining four arms open to full movement. The primary arms (front set) are the most heavily used while the secondary arms (back set) are back-up and usually geared for reaching/ranged attacks.
Hope that all makes a little sense.
