I know I\'ve seen a tut somewhere of how to make advanced chainmail, like in this picture

Mail is armour made from interlocking rings, usually iron or steel. Chainmail isn\'t anything as there\'s no such thing

Rapiers have long, relatively slim blades with a pronounced point.

The picture shows a basket-hilted backsword of the Scottish style, many of which were made using imported German blades.
