just get you a block of wood, paint it black and go to town constructing the groundwork.

Ok hmmm new thing building stuff yet again stretching myself and learning new skills! Can't tell you how much more I'm enjoying my hobby, bit scary at times as I'm a bit bothered of recking it with not doing something decent but genuinely feel I'm getting better. Block of wood on the way.

I really like the colors you are using and the bone parts are looking great. need to show some raw rotting meat in there too. The fun part is going to be looking around the yard for bits to put on your base to create the scene. I'm looking forward to more sir.

zombie with big choppa

Hi guys done some more work on the zombie tried a few more washes of colour on the skin to make it look more rotting sketched in the wood and leather and the beard.

Done the worms and put the base coat on for the nmm metal on the blades. Got to do them and I am a little bit at a loss how to do rusty NMM, any sugestions would be good.

Also I've still to do the circlet around his head; thinking of going a dirty gold NMM yet again all my NMM has been bright and shiny, so advice would be good. After that its on to the filtering to smooth everything out and then done this bit.

On to the next zombie and then diorama time.

He's looking really good. he is sure a funny little guy. I like the idea of making the metal rusty since he is a dirty little fellow anyway.

Here we go a reasonabley finished zombie realatively pleased with it the blending isnt quite as smooth as on Aenur but not to bad. Anything any one can mention to finish off and I'll make a few last adjustments. Hope you like.

And now on to the next zombie and then building!

Ps sorry about the photo damn camera keeps auto selecting off the tungsten aghhhhhhhh!

Ground work

yeah i now damn camera keeps coming of the tungsten setting and then having a paddy and refuses to go back on to it i will have to get the large hammer and show it whos boss;)

Other than that Ive finaly done some scenic basing.

Took the plunge and decided to build it all my self and not use any pre made bases. Obviuosly this is new to me so you may well go by Khorne its rubbish! But hey you got to start some where so crits very welcome indeed.

Polystyrene floor and walls overlayed with cork place matts the wife was not happy:( A bit of rubble will paint it up and add some UHU cobwebs and other bits and bats maybee a rackham treasure chest which the zombie is gaurding not sure. Going to add a torch at some point for a bit of OSL. Any way hope you like!

Yeah brother. This is some good stuff you got going here. I would never guess this was your first go. Your mind is working in the correct way and planning as you go. Sometimes I just start and let it develope itself, that is fun too. I really like the way it is shaping up.

really looking great. You might want to make a grout for those stones. It will be a little more work but it will tie them together and be more realistic. It'll mess with what you have painted so far but is easy to paint again.
